So I finally got around to watching The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly trilogy for the first time, and ultimately came away slightly underwhelmed. I did enjoy the cinematography, and it does ooze bad-assery, but the slow pacing was a little too much for me at times. I decided to see what an older, more experienced Sergio Leone would do to improve on his earlier works, and hopped into Duck, you sucker! Immediately, I'd say there's just more going on here. The characters a more fleshed out (instead of relying almost exclusively on long, menacing stare scenes), and the pace of the film is far more engaging (for me, anyway). Overall, this one was just more my style, and I think Sergio improved quite a bit compared to his famous trilogy. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend giving it a shot! Be warned, though, it begins deceptively lighthearted, but covers some super heavy stuff.

Ah! sorry about that. I ended up watching the 'free w/ ads' version, but figured I'd post this version without that, since some people outside of the US wouldn't be able to watch it, but had no idea it wasn't in English.
Fortunately, I managed to find the film on Archive.org dubbed in English, and swapped it out in the post as well (hopefully it federates).
Cheers for letting me know!

Huh, you really are an honest to goodness centrist, though a left leaning one, from what you've said.

One scam calling out another. In addition to odysee, Arweave (Forward Research) bought an NFT company, which is the reddest of red flags.
In addition, the crypto that odysee used to use before being bought out is now completely worthless (but I'm sure the creators of it made bank), and Arweave will be no different.

Huh, must've been a mistaken upload. Thanks for letting me know.
EDIT: Link edited to Archive.org to an English dub.

Unfortunately, the map counts the entire metropolitan area around the city as part of the city, instead of using the city boundaries itself.
Interestingly, CityNerd had the opposite problem when he did a video on city crime statistics.
It does make the broad global overview far less useful, but inspecting each individual city to see what areas are walkable and bikeable is still pretty cool, and could be helpful if deciding on a place to move to.

Apologies for the late response, old bean, but I've only just returned from hospital.
I'm afraid it's my wife, you see; she was diagnosed with false column disease. We grieved in the waiting room, and by the time we made it back home, it'd already begun to take effect. She's gone now.
I will miss her company, but I must say the structural integrity of my domicile, in particular the patio that she tended to favor, appears to have increased precipitously, at least on a surface level.

It's a problem that's comes up surprisingly often for many of us, I'm sure. Just last night, I mistook a false column for a large animal, and only after charging the beast multiple times with my trusty umbrella did I come to realize I'd been duped yet again by big column.

According to @poVoq@slrpnk.net, the issue with inline images not being visible from slrpnk is related to a bug in the image proxy code, though SLRPNK's image size restriction could also be contributing to it as well.
Apparently the image proxy code bug has already been fixed upstream, so that shouldn't be a problem for lemmy 19.6.

That makes me think of how people react to Clarisse from Fahrenheit 451. Clarisse's interest in nature instead of mundane entertainment causes people around her (except the protagonist) to become uncomfortable, and she is forced to go to a therapist because she deviates from the norm.

That's a good question, and I'm not really able to give a solid answer on that, but I think the measurement you're looking for is volumetric density. At least according to the wikipedia article for sodium batteries, sodium-ion batteries have roughly half the volumetric density of Lithium-ion (though I'm unsure how old that data is), so a sodium battery would need to be twice the physical size to equal the same amount of usable energy.
If there was a significant cost savings with the sodium ion option, I think that could be a reasonable tradeoff until improvements are made to make sodium-ion's density more similar to lithium.

Hm, Freetube is working quite well for me, not sure why it would be giving you trouble.
Piped I avoided mentioning since most need an account, which is a hassle.
Youtube directly with Ublock Origin and Sponsorblock work flawlessly for me, personally.

I think you're right that the blade problem is mostly used in the context of right-wingers trying to tarnish and muddy Wind's image, but I don't see it as particularly negative for media to be made that highlights the fact that they could eventually become biodegradable. IMO it puts a cap on any right-wing jab by having an easily linkable response that effectively says "Well, that claim will soon be moot anyway." And it can again be emphasized that in proportion, it's not a problem to begin with.
But also, bear in mind this is a Solarpunk community, and we're pretty into reducing as much waste as possible while putting up as much alternative energy as possible, so the fact that even that small amount of waste can be eliminated is something we would appreciate knowing.

In comparison to waste from all traditional energy sources, decommissioned blades are indeed an insignificant problem, but hey, improvement is improvement! :)
