How about a "convenience fee" for making an online payment. Why should I pay a fee to make the transaction more convenient for the company who no longer has to pay an employee to take the payment in person?

Definitely, because poor people don't watch the news and can't read.

The Japanese one would be fun for use in New York City. LOL. Easy parking, easy to navigate double-parked clowns. It just needs a bed cover to lock down anything purchased.

Sorry for the late reply. It's been a busy couple of weeks. I double-checked and it isn't defederated. I think maybe no one had ever looked up content from the server before so it wasn't showing up. It hadn't federated yet. Now that I've pulled in posts with a search, I might have opened the floodgate. LOL.

The last time I bothered to try was a few years ago. I didn't realize it was possible to install Battle.net now. I'll have to take another look at it on my laptop with Manjaro installed.

I wish, but all I play right now is Diablo IV and COD:MW2 (2023 version) and neither works on Linux. Maybe in the 2030s.

Weird. I don't see much of that at all, even on "All". I guess it depends on what instance you join.

I got suckered by an encyclopedia salesman when I was younger. It was one of the biggest wastes of money of my young life. I had no need for it at that time and later, when I could have used it, I had the internet (or Internet with a capital I back then) and college libraries.

Imagine buying a physical book, reading it, and putting it on the bookshelf in your living room, only to have family members and friends borrow it and read it for free.
It looks like when Lemmy is updated, you have to sign out of your account on mlem and then sign back in. In the app, go back until you see your account listed. Then, swipe it left and it deletes. Once you re-add it, it works again. The way to log out or delete an account in mlem isn't very intuitive, or at least it wasn't for me.
