which is hilarious because this website still brews lukewarm moderate takes and there's like, what, one tankie instance?

Haven't given Linux a proper chance on my desktop on a few years, till windows 11 finally became too frustrating. Aside from a very short headache with my nvidia drivers, fedora has been absolutely flawless and much less of a pain in my aSs than windows..

Dunno if people consider apple "ethical" but the pixelmator apps on macOS have quickly replaced photoshop and lightroom for most of the light edits I do. Affinity's apps are solid and cross platform but with a steep learning curve imo, but more comprehensive options. Always resolve on all platforms for video of course.

Finally, the right answer
Though to be fair I don't know if the age brackets of using that phrase quite line up with the one of this platforms userbase, so I think it tracks

they show ads next to summaries of articles which, hey, blame the people for only reading the summary instead of clicking through to the source
but they do profit and I would like to see journalism Not become yet another Meta™ product

we’ve had NNTP since the 80s
and I could find maybe one or two students on my uni campus that know what this is
and also, it’s not the 80s anymore

i only know Toronto's scene tbh but the weed is damn good
a friend got a 4 pack of these 0.5 joints infused with 99% THCA and God damn it was like smoking weed for the first time again
grey market edibles are better than the licensed dispensary ones (which cap out at 10mg)

not even an apple thing isn't this just how SOCs work in general? definitely something intel and amd should be doing though (if they aren't already i dont honestly know) especially with hardware decoders and ML cores and whatnot

idea to use canvas to make the wider fediverse more active - post your drawings or drawings you like on mastodon/et al with #lemmycanvas , get a chain of people doing this and boosting eachothers posts
i know you can do it one by one from the admin console but . one by one . cmon,, i managed to make my server 502 trying to add an emoji pack earlier idfk what i did but i certainly dont want to try it again
With the vlemmy situation ongoing, i feel like it would be useful to put this here (i did not make either of these tools) [Lemmy Account Settings Instance Migrator](https://github.com/CMahaff/lasim) (LASIM) copies all your subscribed communities and blocks and lets you upload them to another account, in just a few clicks [lemmy-migrate](https://github.com/wescode/lemmy_migrate) does the same thing but without a GUI and support for uploading your backup to multiple accounts at once

From the site: >This is an independent DIY search engine that focuses on non-commercial content, and attempts to show you sites you perhaps weren't aware of in favor of the sort of sites you probably already knew existed. >Where this search engine really shines is finding small, old and obscure websites about some given topic, perhaps old video games, a mystery, theology, the occult, knitting, computer science, or art.
i know the fediverse has been pretty split and a lot of big instances (mainly microblogging and mastodon-like softwares, but some lemmy instances are defederating meta too) but what do *you* think?
i uninstalled wefwef to get the new icon in the last update, i had it installed as a pwa and it would show up in my app drawer like an actual installed app now i click the same install button from chrome but it only lets me add it as a shortcut? i can't get it to install as an actual app anyone else have this?
we all know Google's usefulness has diminished if you're searching for something the algorithm doesn't have it's nose on, personally i don't feel searxng (i used the nicfab.eu one) gives the best or most useful results either, what's out there?
