TBH, The US pays more for healthcare than defense. Hell social security is the number 1 expense.

Thank you kind sir.
Is there anything that can be done? Or is this account doomed to be a shell of what once was? I wasn't even able to post this from my account, had to use an alt. Server: lemmy.atay.dev User: Snipe_AT

sorry bot, but i’ll have to block you, i don’t think you should be auto posting news articles. you are in my feed too often with no engagement.
i really like the TLDR bots that summarize articles at the top of posts though

since it’s all federated it’s most likely donations and out of pocket. the real risk here is that as communities become more and more centralized, the cost to operate increases significantly (the lemmy.world guy had to upgrade servers at least twice during the boom). there’s a chance that these instances won’t stay around long term, i’m not sure how the lemmy code base deals with instances dropping off. does everyone lose access to all of those servers? since your account is associated with that instance do you not also lose your account and posts?

There's a subreddit r/redditrequest where users can request to be a mod of an unmoderated community. Although reddit might hand pick some consistent posters for the larger subs.
