The whole tipping thing in USA is weird. Everyone wants a tip, it's entirely random (as a non-American) how much tip to give. Just pay your staff a wage they can actually live on ffs.

There's no path there, it could well have been a water course. There is an existing river nearby, and having looked on a map, there seems to be a gap which this water could well be filling in.
In the UK last month we had the highest rainfall of any month ever, with a month's worth of rain falling in about 48 hours - and it doesn't seem to have stopped since. The river in the picture is not supposed to be there!
