I considered posting this in c/vegan but I think it's worth a watch for meat eaters and vegetarians too. It's about a guy who owned a cattle farm in the UK and how he switched to a plant-based model instead. It's not long and quite interesting because it's not often you get to see from this POV . It's actually a really beautiful documentary and it's not gory or anything so give it a go my sweet little hexos

Hey everyone, I don't know much about Mao honestly other than the stuff we're taught at school and I was wondering. a) Was the Great Famine real? b) If so, was it as bad as we're taught in the west c) Was it directly linked to Mao's Great Leap Forward d) If not then why was it ended early?

I swear every TV show now has the same 5 voice actors and every one is some posho, spoiled kid with liberal parents who live in some mansion. It drives me nuts. I remember hearing so many working class voices on TV when I was younger and now the only time you hear a working class voice is if they're making fun of them or they're the bad guy. 
I've got a lot of podcasts that I listen to that are funny but not many that can actually get a laugh out of me. My Dad Wrote A Porno is probably the only one that's had me in uncontrollable fits of laughter. The Dollop and Last Podcast have had episodes on and off that have managed. It doesn't matter if they're not a "comedy" podcast per se, I just want a good laugh.
I basically can't watch anything without subtitles now because my hearing is slowly getting worse and worse. I bought Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 on Google Play and it didn't have any subs even though the original series did. Is there any place I can check this before I watch something?
