Which is why we can't give in to defeatism and it's dangerous to frame discussion with the notion that Harris is "on track to [...] lose." It's not over until the election is over.
Nothing is guaranteed in this election. Talk of Harris as though she's definitely going to win or definitely going to lose only serves to depress voter turnout because people think their votes aren't necessary.
Vote like your rights depend on it; encourage everyone you know to do the same.

I dunno, I think the result is fabulous. I still don't know why everyone was so obsessed with tomatoes, but this website is great fun.

Oooh, I hadn't considered that. There will be so many dick drawings in there by the end of the first year.

He got pissed off because she mentioned the Aryan Nations. I'm guessing he doesn't want too much scrutiny on the subject, for some reason. It's a shame his actions backfired because it's all but guaranteed that there's now someone interested in finding out his connection to AN.

Since everyone here is obsessed with tomatoes, I suggest a site that has the visitors vote on whether it's a fruit or a vegetable, and then just redirects to a dancing tomato instead of the results.

I agree. As much as I'd love karmic retribution for the ones who deserve it, I don't want it at the expense of the ones who don't.

Troubles for Towers Parry may have begun as recently as 2015 when she developed a “rapidly progressive neurologic” condition while working for Swedish Health Services
Ahh, this explains a lot.

Yep. Last time I heard this joke, it was about a Jewish owner and an antisemite buying the drinks. And I think you're spot on with #3.

Except for the fact that I can't stand him and don't want to look at him ever, I really like this. I'm having some weird cognitive dissonance because it's both really satisfying for my brain when I look at it but also disgusting.

Yeah, agreed. I don't have a viable solution (I wish I controlled my various government representatives, but alas!), but even perfect solutions would be ruined by people. People are why we can't have nice things. :(
(Really hoping this doesn't post multiple times. Seems I'm having some internet issues.)

I have no issues with my politicians protecting people from being bombed. I'd love it if we'd also protect Ukraine with such vigor.
What I do have a problem with is when they provide the weaponry needed to commit genocidal actions and effectively encourage said usage by refusing to apply any sort of oversight.
Protecting Israel, or any other country from violence should be considered a good thing. Causing violence to Gaza, Lebanon, Iran, wherever, should not.

Conan O'Brien, breaking hearts across millennia.
Hi all, I have backups turned off everywhere I can find the ability to do so on my pixel 8 pro, but am regularly (multiple times per week) getting notifications that my Google storage is almost full. Lo and behold, every time I check drive, I suddenly have a backup that I have to delete, again and again. Does anyone have any tips? It's really making me regret getting a Google phone, since I don't need my phone connected to my email. Thanks in advance! :)
What are some (non-English) idioms, and what do they mean (both literally and in context)? Odd ones, your favorite ones - any and all are welcome. :) For example, in English I might call someone a "good egg," meaning they're a nice person. Or, if it's raining heavily, I might say "it's raining cats and dogs."
I'm upgrading because my phone is losing (lost?) support. I use a OnePlus 7 Pro and love it and wouldn't bother upgrading otherwise. I'd appreciate some recommendations of android phones you like, please. Thank you in advance! (. ❛ ᴗ ❛.)
