yeah, mod log is a huge benefit. But without a way to protest mod actions we arent in favor of....
like its better than reddit. but not by much

the sub mods are also doing this though

You’re right, it’s pretty shady. we need people running this place that arent shady. There is way less to moderate here. No reason to have that many if they cant be trusted.
Open moderation log is a great feature. Still not sure of any way to use that to actually help though. It seems like if we dont like something theres actually nothing to be done about it. If we can't have different mods, there should be a system of openly appealing and disagreeing with mod decisions

That all seems like good steps. But this isnt "certain actions people dont like" You did direct betrayal of trust with the bans and shadow bans. You are not following the courage of your convictions.
That sub is dead. What I WANT is for this place to not have the same mods. Because you've shown zero proof that you wont do this all over again if lemmy suddenly asks you to.

only if i can trust the mods. And so far it seems like I cannot.
The sub isnt funneling people here. Posts attempting to funnel are blocked.
The top sticky on the thread should be about coming here. But instead you have to find it at the bottom of the sidebar.

the sub mods said they DID shadowban people. So that must be an old rule. mods can definitely shadowban now on reddit.
Siege Now • 63%
then why are posts about it feeding here being blocked?
Siege Now • 100%
o yes. Its happened to a bunch of subs Ive been in before. Reddit starts snooping around and replacing mods and then BAM, it becomes antiwork
Siege Now • 75%
plus shadowbans. its why i hate shadowbans so much. people can be replying and typing good stuff and we just never see it. So it LOOKS like its all libs now.
Siege Now • 72%
its all the libs coming out of hiding. Reddit wants to make it seem like this is what the community wanted anyway. It was just the us LOUD MLs ruining it.
Siege Now • 54%
exactly! its VERY easy to see how it will progress. If they're willing to bend so far backwards for this, they'll do it again next time. The problem is we have the same mods here. So they'll do it again here if they are forced.

so infuriating to be mostly outside 7 days a week, and to sit down for a fucking moment and have these people lecture me on being outside.
Siege Now • 61%
yup!! see now you're getting it!
Siege Now • 46%
if they were directing people here they wouldnt be removing posts about coming here.
Siege Now • 53%
its not though

Im so tired of hearing this. ALL I FUCKING DO IS GO OUTSIDE. I just want a place where after a day of community building and struggling against the capitalist hellscape, i can relax and chill and read some communist posts from others, without having to believe the mods are working against us and secretly purging people.
I need people to understand that you can BE DOING WORK and GOING OUTSIDE and still want a fucking place to relax. You're like the 5th person thats said "go outside" in response to posts like this. Its getting silly.
Siege Now • 6%
Yes, I imagine that is whats happening. This is a courage of your convictions moment and they are failing miserably.

capitulating to the demands of capital and silencing dissent. Had a chance to tell a capitalist mega corp to fuck off and instead said "ok" and immediately betrayed and banned loyal communists.
Siege Now • 7%
they arent though. they're doing the same thing as the reddit wide admins!
If 7 libs and 1 r/genzedong mod are at a bar together, then 8 libs are at a bar together.
"cannot understand the sub's policies" I think the problem was i perfectly understood them. They ARE liberalism! This is the EXACT sort of thing Ive been talking about in other posts today. We cannot trust these people. We shouldn't allow this place to be run by the current mods on the reddit. They are not trustworthy people.
Can we please talk openly about who the mods are here vs there? I dont wanna bother getting invested here if its the same hacks currently running the sub. I understand we want to pipeline people to here. But I cannot possibly trust anyone currently running that sub and the secret police type tactics they're currently using against folks.
Are any good mods left on reddit that I can count on? Or were they all purged? Whenever this happens to a sub I like(jeez, i think this is the 5th time), there are always some hold outs. And sometimes they seem legit, but they ALWAYS give in to the libs. Are there any mods left in the reddit sub we can trust? Are any of the mods here still mods there?
