The Reddit Situation: Clarification

Hi Comrades, It is time for this situation to be addressed on this platform. As many of you have noted, things on Reddit have changed massively in a short amount of time. People have expressed concern as to what this means for this platform and the community here.

Let me say this, Reddit issues are Reddit issues. This is a separate platform. The content policy enforcement on Reddit in no way impacts moderation of this community or Telegram.

Comrades, nobody is happy about this. I'm not happy about this. I don't want to be writing this. I want to be posting and laughing about the Putin calendar I got in the mail today. The restrictions on Reddit suck, and the solution: move off of Reddit.

Reddit is a huge platform, and while it's policies were lax towards us for a long time, once they got us in their sights, it was on. Ultimately, large mainstream social media platforms exist to be used by us as a pipeline to places like this.

If the subreddit is banned tomorrow, that closes that chapter of the book. The longer we drag this out, the more people we will send here. Hopefully the increased moderation on Reddit will result in an increased pressure for users to move in to here.

This community has been through a lot. We have been there. Please understand this, and exercise patience. Make full use of this new community!
