Yep those are some of the issues we have upgrading for now. + some performance issues we found on various other instances and we dont know if this will be affecting us even more with our size.

Sadly this was told about other "Stable" releases like 0.19.1 or .2 where critical bugs where easily found that either broke federation and other stuff.
Many things doesnt even really affect the user but is a burden on the administrative / hosting side, for example the weirdly and buggy report list ( that is still on 0.19.3 ), it can be expected that we will again wait few releases for any critical bugs reported by the instances using it.

And the browser rather Firefox based ( or at least any browser that supports mv2 ) and yes all of the branches of chromium will not be able to support mv2 forever as google will literally remove it from chromium next year.

Hi,
we will check if an upgrade is doable, but before that we need to check if any Critical Bugs or Performance issues are affecting 0.19.5. Our focus is on Stability.
Thanks

Hello,
in short no, as we dont want to micro manage a whitelist of allowed VPN ips. Otherwise bad actors could abuse the allowed VPN ips and still post bad stuff.

I dont get what you are saying tbh i never said EU made the laws in there, you just repeat what i (indirect) told. That UK no longer have / follow those rules / regulations / recommendations from the EU.

Never allow "Send notification" permission for "Bot verification purposes". I heard a new type of fake "Captcha" where you need to execute a script ( with Windows + R and then pressing enter ) that will just execute a script and run malware.

It just tells you it had got some Bad sectors on your disk. In total 63 ( or at least if i calculated the raw values right ). But if i calculate the time you used it for a year or so and if that has already bad sectors is not a good sign the disk will survive for very long. ( and yes this is a HDD not a SSD )
I would personally not use it for any important stuff.

Let me guess? CLOUD VMS? "Emulation" tries the most generic app: Doesnt work. Office apps will be the only functioning apps.
Hello world! as the title says the server is **BACK**! It is hosted under a new server! The same map and your inventory is the same! Domain is the same: minecraft.lemmy.world Bedrock: minecraft.lemmy.world:1027 Please note: The new server is hosted in the USA so if you are joining from the EU please expect higher than before ping! This can not be avoided as the generous hoster doesnt have a server in the EU. The generous hoster is [@JonsJava@lemmy.world](https://lemmy.world/u/JonsJava), thanks to him all this is possible. The home limits are increased and there will be for everyone who wants it a new spawn where you can build from. Thanks everyone Rooki
Hello World, As many of you have probably noticed, there is a growing problem on the internet when it comes to undisclosed bias in both amateur and professional reporting. While not every outlet can be like the C-SPAN, or Reuters, we also believe that it's impossible to remove the human element from the news, especially when it concerns, well, humans. To this end, we've created a media bias bot, which we hope will keep everyone informed about WHO, not just the WHAT of posted articles. This bot uses [Media Bias/Fact Check](https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/) to add a simple reply to show bias. We feel this is especially important with the US Election coming up. The bot will also provide links to [Ground.News](https://ground.news/), as well, which we feel is a great source to determine the WHOLE coverage of a given article and/or topic. As always feedback is welcome, as this is a active project which we really hope will benefit the community. Thanks! > FHF / LemmyWorld Admin team 💖

I just wanted to ask what are you doing on the server currently? Is there something we could do? If there is a need for a reset? Changes with the plugins? Other version wanted? Old school mc?
I tried to connect but the server and website seems offline. Sad to see the old school server go.
Hello world, we chose to close down this community and redirect everyone interested in wordnews to https://lemmy.world/c/world because we want to reduce the load on moderators and have at least locally on the instance less duplicate communities. We did this action with the cooperation of the mods in c/world and c/worldnews.
Really cool video from [@Imperor@mastodon.social](https://mastodon.social/users/Imperor) i want to share.
Hi i will make it a short one! We created a new modpack server ( [Steampunk](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/steam-punk) ) it is available under minecraft.lemmy.world:26565. The whitelist is active and you need to dm me here, discord or matrix your minecraft username to whitelist you on there. Note: The survival server is still up and they both have enough ressources!
Hello world! as probably many seen in the recent weeks, there was a decline on active users on the server and we want to ask **you** what we can do or what are the next games you want to play with the lemmy community! The choices are: 1. Minecraft with a new Modpack ( please recommend us a modpack you want to play with the lemmy community ) 2. A different game? 3. Shut it down forever?! 4. Your idea?! Note: If possible we will still let the current vanilla server running ( but with reduced dedicated resources). Thanks for everyone participated in the minecraft server! We never anticipated it was so active and so enthusiastic from everyone participating! But please take part in this Survey or we will probably have to shut the server down if no one wants or suggests anything! Thanks! The Lemmy world Minecraft Team! Edit: We have chosen for 1. A new Modpack Server ( more information here: https://lemmy.world/post/11596380 ) NOTE: The Vanilla Server STAYS, so it doesnt go down.
I did this with the nice mod named nvidium! No lag so far! Thank you all for building such nice things!
