Note. Mohammed Ben Sulayem is not the same person as crownprince of SA Mohammed bin Salman who is often referred to as MBS. Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) has allegedly ordered the assassination of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
EVER SLOW GREEN – Re-afforestation in Auroville, South India 50 years ago, a unique afforestation project took root on an eroded desert plateau in Tamil Nadu, South India, when people from diverse countries came together to establish the international experimental township of Auroville. Initially driven by the necessity to make the harsh conditions more liveable, the idealism of some early residents lead them to develop expertise in cultivating the Tropical Dry Evergreen Forest, a rare forest type native to the coastal belt of Tamil Nadu. Today, the lush Auroville forest is an outstanding example of eco-restoration that recreates and preserves a type of tropical forest that is on the verge of extinction. Ever Slow Green tells the story of Auroville’s 50-years-young forest through some of the diverse characters who have dedicated their lives to bringing it to fruition. A bit different situation as this benefitted Ferrari as well: September 17, 2023, Singapore: Sainz (Ferrari) kept Norris (Zak's McLaren) within DRS range which allowed Norris to defend against Hamilton better.

The FIA should also be reminded that these racers are not TV presenters. For most of them English is a second language and it is not always easy to express themselves.

Language like that is quite common in the Netherlands, I suppose it's all rappers there. I fail to see how this did any harm to F1, or motorsport. It is childish. This will further reduce the quality of press conferences where drivers really do not say anything but the usual: "Car was [not] running well, we are [not] confident we can run for the top places [run in the points]. We have [no] upgrades. See you after the race.".

I find Hamilton's remarks quite racist. Does he realize that 'rapper' is not a race?
Every criticism on him feels for him as racism. He should really start reflecting and look at problems like this without thinking about his skin color.
I'm white and lived in a country where I was racially profiled on my skin color on daily basis. Not complaining, I could always go back to my home country and I did after many years. Happy to have experienced it and with that in mind i find hamilton a winy little kid.

I just had another look at Sergio's on board. He touched the back left of Carloz who was slowly drifting towards him. Could have been avoided by Sergio.

That album is sssoooo bad.... it has for example a version of Help (the Beatles) that will make your ears bleed. It is a miracle that DP continued after this. Lucky for us they managed to improve and gift us great music.
Hush is not too bad, probably because they stayed close to the original.

OK I found it myself : https://us.motorsport.com/f1/news/were-russells-worn-tyres-the-cause-of-his-spa-f1-disqualification/10640096/
“We expect that the loss of rubber from the one-stop was a contributing factor, and we'll work to understand how it happened.
“We won't be making any excuses though. It is clearly not good enough and we need to make sure it doesn't happen again.”
The missing weight of 1.5kg may sound like a lot, but we are only talking about 375 grammes from each corner.
And as Pirelli head of F1 Mario Isola has explained, that is well within the boundaries of how much a worn tyre loses.
Just now, AVROTROS has released a statement about what happened on Thursday night with Joost Klein: >We have taken note of the disqualification by the EBU. AVROTROS finds the disqualification disproportionate and is shocked by the decision. We deeply regret this. >An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly made agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police. >Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed several solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has still decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AVROTROS finds the penalty very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners -let there be no misunderstanding about that- but in our view, an exclusion order is not proportional to this incident. >We are very disappointed and upset for the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe shouldn’t have ended this way. >AVROTROS

The letter questions India's commitment to being the world's largest democracy and refers to the words of jurist John Rawls, stressing the importance of justice and the need to reform or abolish unjust laws and institutions. The plea is for the judiciary to uphold equal liberties and protect rights secured by justice, emphasizing that such rights should not be subject to political bargaining or social interests.
Loud alarm from my phone's speaker came with it. Just wondering what happens in traffic if everybody at a crossing gets these alarm sounds from their phone at more or less the same time.
Relations between India and Canada have further deteriorated after Delhi announced it was suspending visa services for Canadians due to “security threats” faced by its embassy and consulates in Canada. BLS International, which runs the Indian visa offices in Canada, put a notice on its website stating that all visa services for Canadians were suspended until further notice, citing “operational reasons”. Arindam Bagchi, a spokesperson for India’s foreign ministry, confirmed the suspension at a media briefing, mentioning “the incitement to violence, the inaction by the Canadian authorities and the creation of an environment that disrupts the functioning of our high commission and consulates” as the reason. [.....] Should Canada impose similar visa restrictions on Indian citizens, it could have a significant impact. Indians topped the list last year of legal immigrants to Canada, with more than 118,000 becoming permanent residents in 2022. There are also more than 320,000 Indian students studying in Canadian universities.
Justin Trudeau has said there is “credible evidence” India is responsible for the alleged assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a prominent Canadian Sikh leader, a claim Delhi dismissed as “absurd”. The Canadian prime minister told the House of Commons of Canada on Monday that, in recent weeks, national security authorities had been probing allegations that New Delhi was behind a state-sponsored assassination.
