Man, I wonder if it’s challenging to source a steady supply of paper for that thing…

Yeah that’s a good point. Maybe if I knew I could leave to visit my parents immediately, I would agree to meet the next day in the alley to discuss the trash bins, then zoom on out. On the other hand, I would then possibly have the deaths of my neighbors on my hands, when they inevitably airstruck the townhomes all around me to ensure that no trash bins could be left out, ever again. They’d also probably freak my entire neighborhood out by getting on our stupid messenger group chat to recommend that everyone should consider not being home tomorrow.

Yeah there’s a strong theme developing. I can say that if Israel called me up, said “hey we’d like to sit down, hash out the issue we’re having with your trash bins blocking our parking pad behind the houses” I would definitely not agree to meet, and would probably travel out of state immediately.

‘He apparently told brother Bobby, not exactly a monk himself, "I get a migraine headache if I don't get a strange piece of ass every day."1
That’s JFK talking to Bobby about his sexual needs—or maybe we should call them his sexual pathologies, since he apparently requires novel sex in order to prevent brain malfunction and pain.
Note the bit about how Bobby was “not exactly a monk himself”
So personally, I see RFK Jr’s rapacious sexuality as him proudly carrying on an old family tradition.

I’m still slowly working my way… think I’m in book 7 maybe? I sometimes find it hard with series where they change focuses and stories a lot, and malazan does that every book (the whole changing location every other book thing) and I also sometimes have trouble keeping track or who all the characters are, and who is dead, alive, or only sorta dead. But they are very high quality, even if I don’t always understand what is going on. Anyhow there’s so much of it I just dip in and out and will read other stuff for a while—definitely a marathon series haha

Richard k. Morgan’s foray into to fantasy “the steel remains” trilogy might meet that requirement. He’s the guy who wrote the altered carbon books, so it’s basically hard-boiled pulp fiction applied to swords and sorcery fantasy. Similarly Joe Abercrombie’s books operate similarly. Genre is… Grimdark I think.
Steven Erickson’s “Malazan book of the fallen” series also would meet the definition, but watch out—there’s a ton of them, and they can be a bit narratively challenging sometimes.

Yeah those are the strongest part, but very well supported by the shiny dome, gray stubble and classic Hugo boss grey of his jacket.

He really does. I’d say coincidence… but the probability is that it’s more intentional than accidental.

You can use it instead of a toaster for stuff like bread, bagels. It also does roast veggies very well. I use it to crisp paneer sometimes to put into saag paneer. French fries. Reheating pizza. You can make a decent psuedo chimichanga without the oil as well.

I loved learning about that time that some whacko was able to walk into the PM residence and surprised Mrs. Chrétien making tea in a night gown (my recollection of the specifics are fuzzy)

Seems like they boosted the EXP gain across the board since yesterday--I'm getting up to 11k EXP on a win, and 6-7K EXP on a loss. For both those numbers I did pretty well, but I looked at the breakdown, even matches I lost with poor combat performance, I was getting a 5500 EXP for the match, which is 2k ± up from the old numbers. Makes T3-4 preset grinding a little more palatable, but the later presets will still take forever. Haven't seen an announcement or patch notes on this, so it might be one of those lever-tweaking things they do server-side.
