How do you use the built in microphones? [Update]
  • Ecksell Ecksell Now 100%

I have this issue as well :( I have PTT in Helldivers 2 bound to one of the back buttons, when I hit it the >)) mic icon lights up on the HUD, but no one can ever hear me. Hopefully the community can provide a fix, or some more clarification from Valve would be nice also

All of that is true, and makes perfect sense. It all depends on where you live, of course.

You guys need to try out streaming from PC and/or PS5 to Steam Deck. Technically everything runs on the SD in this scenario. I'm playing FF7 Rebirth on the SD via my PS5 right now, and it is glorious. Helldivers 2 via the gaming rig is also pretty sweet.

Steam's built in Remote Play and Chiaki4Deck are the best!

That is so cool! I had actually forgotten about this game, until I saw it in this article that includes a bunch of other recommendations that are in these genres:

I’ve been watching this game as I enjoy this genre, and it has spaceships! Anyway, there is a demo up now, and as suspected it is great on Deck! I use the Keyboard and Mouse Steam input template, but touchscreen kinda works better. Give it a whirl and see what you think! Title is a link right to the store page.

The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion
  • Ecksell Ecksell Now 100%

Been playing Helldivers 2, really fun game!
Question about it: It offers a curved HUD option in the settings, which is really neat in the YT vids I’ve seen, especially since I have a curved monitor. I’d love to enable this, but it doesn’t work at all for me. Does it for anyone else?

My PS5 is wired, and my SD is the only device on the 6GHz WiFi I have up. So, imperceptible! I can count a handful of times I noticed input lag or stutter, that’s it. It’s basically cloud gaming, but sitting upstairs from the server.

  • Been doing quite a bit of in-home streaming from PC to Steam Deck lately, and decided to give Chiaki4Deck a try for PS5 to Steam Deck in-home streaming. Works like a charm; great graphics (including HDR), touchpad and haptics support, and QoL stuff like sleeping your PS5 when exiting the Steam Deck’s stream session. Here is the guide I used: https://streetpea.github.io/chiaki4deck/setup/configuration/

  • Ecksell Ecksell Now 100%

Sure, valid question. I tend to set up all my in progress games for streaming, as I spend a good chunk of time playing within my home network. I get to enjoy the games with the horsepower and high settings of my main rig, and incredible battery life on the SD.

Station 2 Station. I dont think its Deck Verified yet, but it runs great. Its so easy to turn off brain, chill to the music, and lay down some train tracks and bridges while the time just disappears. If you want, you can tryhard it, which is also fun, depending on the mood.

  • I’m playing Station to Station, Cyberpunk, and Miles Morales currently. I’ve noticed when I stream from my main rig to the Deck the colors are drastically different from both what the game looks like natively on the SD and my rig’s own monitor. I’m curious as to what gives, and how/where to fix it. -PC has a RTX 3060, current WHQL drivers -Steam Deck OLED 512GB on Stable channel -Colors are tilted towards too much red, orange, and brown in all 3 games. But only while streaming, playing off the Deck natively it looks more…natural? EDIT: [Preview 3.5.8](https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1675200/view/3870343609914277085) contains a fix to the issue. > Fixed incorrect colors (gamma) when using Steam In-Home Streaming.

Why bother even having kickoffs if every kick is just going to sail out the endzone with no possibility of a return, or trying to pin the opposition deep? It was bad week 1, and bad again here in week 2. Just start out from the 25 and be done with kickoffs/returns entirely, instead of this farce. “Stopgap” excuse be damned.

I know the race isnt until next weekend, but I'm ready to ride. Im going to take out the Lotus Exos 125. Ive never driven this track before, so it should be a good time. I did the BMW M3 GT2 as training wheels and set 2:15. What y’all got? Let’s ride the M3 GT2 for a while then swap up to the Lotus Exos 125. Everybody in Assetto Corsa has these, but post a screenshot if you really send it please!

This is a great track, flows well, but its quite bumpy. Im riding it in a GT2 car right now (training wheels, so to speak) and I set 2:25.103. One of my buds did 2:15.9, so Im about to tune up and run it again. What times are you guys putting in? P.S. We are using Assetto Corsa

I typically run the upcoming races in my sim rig during the week ahead when I have time, on Assetto Corsa. Anybody else in their sim or running around it on controller or Steam Deck? I'd like to see the times you all are getting in for comparison. You'll need to post the car you're rocking, time of day, and weather conditions if you don't mind please. Thanks in advance!
