# Economic principles from a Marxist/socialist point view? Marx wrote about the political economy and its relationship between boss and worker. I heard sometimes from leftists that the current academic economic courses are deeply influencied by the logic of liberalism and financial capitalism and thus it got very abtract concepts from a bourgeois perspective. I wonder if there are some economic principles irrespective of political ideologies that exist because it's inherent of any social human group (from tribal groups untill metropolitan people)? I find an important question for we discuss and try to understand how the society works and how we could adjust it to a possible future socialist society and economy. **Do you guys know any principle or principles which don't depend on political ideologies and it are inherent to any social human group with more than some tens of people?** I would like see what many people would say about it from a socialist base.

Difference between conservative and reactionary?

What is the difference between conservative and reactionary or how you would describe and distinguish them? In Portuguese language I see them as similar but with a significant difference. I suppose they may have the same meaning as in Portuguese and I would like to see how many socialists see these both words.

"It doesn't matter if the cat is black or white, so long as it catches mice." (Deng Xiaoping)

I see many different interpretations about this. **But what did Deng Xiaoping in fact mean with this quote?**

On the photo is Jack Ma, one of the richest capitalists in China, the owner of Alibaba, the Chinese billionaire who said the working hours of the workers should be extended to 12 hours a day. Many leftists and even people who call themselves marxists say China is still socialist, while other leftists/marxists say it has nothing to do with a socialist country today. Some people also argue that the reinstauration of capitalism in China, after Mao Zedong, was a treason against the revolution and socialism and there is now a lot of rhetorics to justify this opportunism. If China is still socialist, as some people advocate, how to explain about the billionaires, capitalists, supposed explotation of workers etc.?

- In the past people worked around 10 or even 12 hours a day (or more, but it is hard to believe that a human could work more than 12 hours for some time), so many coutries, especially the socialist ones, determined that a worker could work at the most 8 hours a day. However it was already a long time ago when the technology was much inferior and there was very few or no automation in the producition, at that time there is no computers and advanced technologies (robots, artificial intelligence etc.) of the, so known, "4th industrial revolution". - Nowadays we could automatize almost all. On the other hand, in capitalism it finds contradictions, because if the capitalist automatize the whole production, it will be benificial to him and most workers will lose their jobs. Structurally, if the most capitalists automatize their production, great part of population will have no job, no lose their buying power and then the capitalists wouldn't sell their products much it could conduce to a crisis due to "overproduction". - Only in socialism could be benificial to automatize everything what would be possible and nowadays with this kind of technologies the socialism could easier be applied and hold high productions without using much human working. **Consider it in a capitalist context. What do you guys think about the 8-hours working a day?** I think the working day of 8 hours is overhidden. It should be at most 6 hour a day and 35 a week, especially in physical labour.

When the person is privileged so that he/she can drive a German car, go everyday to good restaurants and can fly often to visit heavenly touristic places arround the world. Maybe is he a descendant of the one of those reformists of the traitor bureaucracy that dismouted USSR and reinstaured the capitalism.
