Dirty is how this would have played out had the strike occurred at any other time. Congress would have legislated back to work orders and that's assuming POTUS couldn't just use an executive order to do it.
Striking now meant honest negotiations instead of BS federal interference.

No, it's not. Let's imagine a future world where to settle the conflict Israel agrees to withdraw to the green line, endorse a fully UN recognized and supported independent Palestinian nation, pay reparations to Palestine, aid in its rebuilding if permitted, and sign a 100 year peace treaty with all adjacent nations. Accepting this hypothetical, would Israel be safe? Why or why not?

When peaceful resistance is made impossible, violent revolution is inevitable
Hasn't been made impossible, just costly. Still less costly than resorting to terrorism. What is the body count now? More or less than projected when Hamas was deciding to 10/7? Any closer to victory? Let me know when reality sinks in.

“We understand that some Muslim voters, any voter, may feel a moral dilemma voting for [Harris]. I do. My family does,” said Wa’el Alzayat, the CEO of Emgage Action. “But a vote for a third-party candidate is the road to victory for Donald Trump.”

So as you can see from that recent diatribe, there is no rational debate, no reasoning, or even the faintest hint of willingness to be civil. There is just what you allow to pollute the site. Hamas got banned from Twitter and now rots Lemmy. It is up to you whether to allow it to continue, but do not make the mistake of thinking that attitude is a one-off, or won't constantly try to get its digs in every chance it can if you do.

I don't think she's an idiot. These seems like a very intelligent way for her to take an easy route of getting ahead through support from Republicans at the cost of her integrity, credibility, and dignity.

Getting real tired of these titles using the 'bombshell' descriptor. Anybody here really shell-shocked by these allegations? No? Is it simply yet another bunch of criminal acts to throw on the litany of accusations he is absurdly unlikely to pay for or even budge the needle on his approval rating in the law-and-order party?
Only bombshell for me would be a real image of him in prison orange behind bars.
Jon Stewart examines the choice undecided voters are facing in the 2024 election: Kamala Harris, who has an impressive résumé and specific policy plans, versus Donald Trump, whose vision, consistency on issues, anti-labor ethos, and militaristic posturing are at odds with the caricature his followers have created for him.
Ammunition availability can make all the difference in a war, but only if it makes it to the troops on the front, rather than being destroyed in storage. Over the course of several days, Ukraine recently succeeded in striking two Russian GRAU arsenals deep in Russian territory and a separate depot and storage facility, causing massive destruction and destroying thousands or tens of thousands of tonnes of Russian munitions. In this episode I ask how long-range drones were able to destroy what were meant to be, in many cases, hardened targets, why the bases may have suffered the damage they did, and what this may all mean for the war going forward.
Context: comment on a [post](https://biglemmowski.win/comment/5467835) about Hezbollah leader being killed. This comment is not calling for violence. It is literally mocking those that think violence is a good idea as the dire consequences are the very subject at hand. Those mods clearly put zero effort into examining the context and simply prosecute on report alone. Either that or they themselves support some violence and abhor its criticism.
The U.S. Constitution may be flawed, but it provides the foundation for everything that makes life good for the very people who hate it so much.
