I'm pretty happy here in our corner of Lemmy. Why would I want to know what's going everywhere on the internet all at once?

The resdit post referred to by the top level comment mentions that winners of very large jackpots turn up dead with alarming frequency.
Also the bigger the jackpot the more people get sued, family kidnapped, harassed, etc. A miserable existence apparently.

They exist here in Australia too. Which is a Commonwealth country with lots of English influenced heritage and culture.

Or when Netgear just randomly picked university of Wisconsin as the NTP server for all it's cheap routers. https://pages.cs.wisc.edu/~plonka/netgear-sntp/

As a hubspot user this is actually not surprising at all. In fact the only surprise is that they're not requiring you to buy more Professional seats for the answer.

I've been very happy with Ubiquity Edgerouters the last few years. Their ER-X model can do 1Gbps total... So if you're downloading at 500Mbps then you can upload at 500Mbps. It come in about USD 60 I think.
Next level up is the Edgerouter Lite 3. It is much beefier and can easily handle 1Gbps both ways and even faster. It's just under $100. 99 or so. Maybe you can find it on special.
They are really prosumer and definitely much stabler than typical consumer routers. Eg I haven't reset mine in more than 2 years.
It's not open source like mikrotik but they are very hacker and tech use friendly. Most things work via CLI. And most advanced router functions are supported.

What do you want to do? How fast is your internet? 1Gbps fibre requires something much beefier than 50Mbps.
How many servers do you have going? Are people accessing them from outside?
How many people in your household? Are they gamers and need low latency? Heavy streamers? Working from home needing VPNs?
Without this context just look at a pricelist.
I'm Australian and went on a business trip last month to the UK and to the USA. In the UK I didn't see Bluey anywhere, but in the USA I saw Bluey stuff everywhere. Every hotel room at some point flipping channels Disney Jr seemed to have Bluey on all the time. I saw kids wearing Bluey merch when out and about. I saw Bluey merch in stores. Even on a flight, the kids in front of me were watching Bluey on the inflight entertainment. At one hotel I had to go down the hallway to get some ice, and was wearing my Bandit PJ t-shirt. Another guy in his 30s came out of the elevator and was like "OMG I love your shirt! We all love Bluey!" So my question is, will the next generation of American squibs all have an Australian accent?
This is Sunny. Unfortunately she flew away about a year ago. Last spotted hanging out with a flock of galahs. But absolutely refused to return when called. Silly derp. 😢 Much sadness was had. But remembered as a cheeky little chicken.
At the moment if you're inside a post and you want to refresh the comments you have to go all the way to the top and do the pull-down to refresh. Generally this is fine. However a lot of communities have "live" posts where people watch a tv show or a sports event together. Especially with sports events the actual post text might be really long and requires a lot of scrolling to get past. For instance a typical live sports thread: https://lemmy.world/post/1156203 I'm sorting by comments by "New" to easily follow the live chat. However to refresh, I need to scroll up about 10 pages on a mobile to get to the top of the post (all the scores and match details are being live updated by a bot in the post body). And then after a refresh I have to scroll all they way back down. If there was somewhere to just press a refresh button when down in the comments or at the bottom of the post body. I think BaconReader used to have it in the top menu bar of the app. Just an option in the 3 dots menu to refresh would be fine. Thanks!
Like I said in the last photo, he's a clever boy. We've been playing all the youtube tielfluencer videos to him and he can imitate a few of them. Here's him singing the cookie song.
Thanks again for working on this. I know the little "hackathon" fizzled a bit with only you starting off on something concrete, but I still think it spread a bit of awareness. I've been promoting it in threads where I can, but let me know if you prefer I didn't. I just think if others promote it, you can't be accused of self-promotion. :-)
