Hi there. I've joined my country's communist party a year ago, and for this year i've just worked in my province local circle. From what i've observed nobody as much of a clue (or at least doesn't show it), from the party's administration (who just aims to exist another day as a party, just financially and bureaucratically) to the lowly comrades like me, on what it is to be done. I've meditated for a full year on how things should work at our stage, but i admit i have no clue on how everything should work: mainly the local circles. This is a problem because now i'm secretary of my province circle. And now i don't know more than ever what to do. So, now i come for help, i couldn't find any resource for what it's our stage in a socialist plan (near 0%). Briefly: we are 500ish in our country, 50ish in my region, and about 8 active member in my circle. We are mainly "middle-class", petty bourguesie student's. What should we do to basically START? By literally the basics, my comrades don't seem to auto-organize much, they need quite an encouragement to work thorward something. And after I get around on how to manage the circle, what will we do on the long and brief term in my city? When should I go for activating the whole region rather than just my city? And how would I go about scaling everything? Now I've figured I should build a collective where political discussion (which is pretty dead in the city) could florish. Also I should find a way to engage my comrade in actual Marxist theory (they just have a vague understanding). From this I could show the party's administration my worth and aim for regional secretary (and iterate the process). But, again, I'm lacking any resource on this. And ultimately, the most important, how do I avoid feeling like a teacher giving homework to my comrades? I want this to be about "us" not me. Thank you very much!!

Le mie due "occasioni" sono state sull'argomento della poesia e la politica (sinistra) tutti ragazzi di 18 anni o giù di li. Diciamo che nel circolo politico ci spingiamo sempre per incontrarci, essendo associato ad un partito e di interesse di 2-3 persone (compreso io), ma personalmente mi sento costantemente perso. Nel circolo poetico ho un po' gettato la spugna, ma riprenderò con l'inzio della scuola invitando i ragazzi del liceo (che ha delle lezioni pomeridiane di poesia e scrittura creativa, da cui poi abbiamo cercato di fare nascere un circolo indipendente). Comunque edito il post per aggiungere queste informazioni
I don't know if this is the right community, but I need an answer, I've been thinking of this for months. Twice it happened to me, to meet people who say they are interested in X (generic topic), just like me. So we end up creating a group, all motivated, bold, and hopeful to exchange material (productions, ideas, etc.) about topic X. And twice it happened to me that I was the only active person in the group, ending up being associated with the figure of "head" of the club. Not that I don't like taking charge of the thing, but evidently I'm not good at it at all: because no one even responds to what I share. Of course, you can tell me to propose activities; but first of all I have no idea of what it is to be done in a club, having never been in one before; secondly, people simply ignore, or are busy with other things, and I'm not talking about people who have a career, i talk about students during holiday. I've been thinking about it since January and I came up to this: the beauty of a collective entity like the club is that it allows for exchange between peers, but it only works if the peers make it work, if they "self-manage". And I'm not talking about running a factory, I'm just talking about being able to discuss and propose recreational activities. This led me to observe that (at least) my generation is brain dead; and I'm not saying this to be edgy, if taken as a whole these people can't function. Let me explain myself: when I tried to find a solution, I only found vertical realities, very similar to the school one (note: I'm from italy). Where I, or someone, give the "lesson"; where inevitably there must be a sort of messiah who brings the solution, the information, and there is never a collective construction. In one of my two experiences I noticed how in a "debate" people inevitably ended up (or just straight up answered) agreeing with me ("I think it's like you say it is"); not because I was exhausting them, but because I was giving a complete opinion: so the “debate” died there, at the beginning. There is no verve. They are all dependent on an entity/element that thinks for them. And if i were there to "conduct" a discourse, I'd feel like the teacher who needs its pupils to develop a thought, i don't think its fair. And now I feel like a bit of an asshole, like Heraclitus, asking you how to wake people up; how to activate them and put them on their feet. P.S. My two experiences involved Poetry and Politics
Non so se è la comunità giusta, ma una risposta mi serve, è da mesi che rimugino sulla questione. Mi è capitato ben 2 volte di incontrare persone che si definiscono interessate a X (argomento generico), proprio come me. Quindi si finisce per creare un gruppo tutti motivati, baldanzosi, e speranzosi di scambiare materiale (produzioni, idee, etc.) circa l'argomento X. E per ben 2 volte mi è capitato che io fossi l'unico attivo del gruppo, finendo per essere associato alla figura di "capo" del club/circolo. Non che mi dispiaccia prendermi carico della cosa, ma evidentemente non sono per niente bravo: perché nessuno risponde neanche a ciò che condivido. Naturalmente mi si può rispondere di proporre attività; ma innanzitutto io **non ho idea di cosa si faccia** in un circolo/club, non essendovi stato previamente; in secondo luogo la gente semplicemente ignora, è disinteressata, è impegnata in altro, e non parlo di gente che lavora. Io è da gennaio che ci rifletto e ho pensato questo: la bellezza di un'entità collettiva come il club è che permette lo scambio tra pari, ma funziona solo se i pari la fanno funzionare, se si "autogestiscono". E non parlo di mandare avanti una fabbrica, parlo solo di poter discutere e proporre attività ricreative. Ciò mi ha portato a osservare che (almeno) **la mia generazione è cerebralmente morta**; e non dico per fare effetto, se presa come insieme non riesce a funzionare. Mi spiego peggio: quando io (che non eludo l'accusa che faccio ai miei coetanei) ho provato a trovare soluzione, ho trovato soltanto realtà verticali, molto analoghe a quella scolastica. Dove sono io, o qualcuno, che fa la "lezioncina"; dove inevitabilmente ci deve essere una sorta di messia che porta la soluzione, l'informazione, e non c'è mai una costruzione collettiva. In una delle due mie esperienze ho notato come in un "dibattito" la gente finisse per darmi inevitabilmente ragione ("la penso come te"); non perché li estenuassi, ma perché davo un'opinione completa: dunque il "dibattito" moriva li. Non c'è verve. **Sono tutti dipendenti da un entità/elemento che pensa per loro.** E ora mi sento un po' stronzo, eracliteo, a chiedervi come risvegliare le persone; come attivarle e metterle sui loro piedi. Edit: Le due attività erano una di natura politica e una di natura poetico-letteraria; e coinvolgevano ragazzi attorno i 18 anni.
