Not really. In order to find the wave function you need to measure both particles and compare both sets of superposition info to know that the particles were entangled. The information sharing between Alice and Bob would still have to be through standard means.

This isn't someone stealing food from the grocery store to feed their kids.. But it is a topic being overblown for rich people's benefit.

How is it overblown? It is a real issue with law enforcement in America. People are being permitted to destroy and steal property. We need to get to the root cause of what’s going on their. It’s due to failures on multiple fronts. You can’t just say ignore it because capitalism bad. Capitalism is a founding principle of this country’s economy. You can’t play the card that these people are protesting corruption because others are enriching themselves by stealing goods. That’s not noble in any way and doesn’t help employees.

Quick update. The strap on one of the fins broke during a simulated emergency on my Rescue Diver course. I was struggling to get the fins on in order to swim out to rescue someone and it snapped. Since they are not standard, it almost derailed the whole class for me. Has a backup, but was a major inconvenience. This would have been disastrous in a real life scenario. Going to buy some new fins.

Yet in that time, they didn’t figure out how to build spaceships. Two legs seems optimal for getting through tight spaces. Being able to sweat allows us to run for hours and exhaust our prey. Hands with opposable thumbs make is able to build and wield anything. Our brain folds make it so we can plan and recall. Our brains are actually really good at locational memory, which is less relevant with GPS, but can be hacked for massive memorization abilities. Sharks sense a mass of life that smells fishy and eat it. It matters how you define success. Is it just survival in place or advancing science, exploration, the arts, etc.?

Oxygen is also a catalyst for life. It’s kind of like a drug for us. It’s good and bad at the same time. It kind of burns the wick of life. It helps us product energy and destroy old cells. It is thought to be something that we would find in abundance on any planet with complex life.

In theory, the reason that our evolution won was because it is a very effective design pattern. It is possible that aliens might come from a planet with stronger or weaker gravity, so could have differing musculoskeletal structure, however the humanoid form would still provide the correct support. Perhaps, in lower gravity, our heads might have been bigger light some depictions of Greys.

We have been working on a first contact protocol for ages and would be certain to quickly establish a means of communication. I highly recommend watching the movie Arrival, which goes through this at great detail and definitely pokes at the idea that aliens might perceive different dimensions.

They should have a designated queue area, but still maintain those sitting at the bar. Alternate, one order for the seated, one for the queue. If you want to get fancy, replace the queue area with a cubby system and an app. Order from the app, pay, and get a QR code and a cubby number when your drink is ready. QR unlocked your drink cubby. The cubbies can be see through. I should invent this.

I’m sure you probably already know this, but tapping comments in the inbox was working fine and now there is a major lag. If you hit it multiple times, it will go to the comment multiple times.

In terms of future features, it would be great if you kept all posts and messages that I start to creat in a draft area in case I am unable to post them at the moment that I create them for any reason.

Venus has similar gravity to Earth. It is just about the same size and density. The atmospheric gasses can be turned into many different kinds of compounds provided enough energy and you could theoretically mine ore from the surface. It is much closer to Earth than mars as well. We recently detected through spectroscopy gasses in the atmosphere that are associated with the byproduct of life, so scientifically, it makes sense to have a science facility above the atmosphere to experiment further. The reality is that it’s more technically achievable to send a facility in orbit around another planet than to build a ground facility. Far less fuel needed. The gases in Venus’s atmosphere might also be able to be used as fuel.

    - The number disappears and reappears when voting. This is a bad feel. Can you make it just change the number instantly, even if there is still potentially some behind-the-scenes server processing going on? Also, the vote button itself just slightly changes the arrow color, it would be easier to see and more satisfying if it create a colored-in box around the arrow. - Posts with hundreds of comments fail to load the comments. For example, see https://lemmy.world/post/373743. The comments won’t load on that post. Also, when you click into a post, please load the comments instead of making the user have to hit the comments button to load them. I consider a post to be as much about the comments as the post. Many times, I read the comments first. - The post cards have rounded edges and gaps between each post, which is a bit distracting. It would be better on my eyes if the user can turn off the rounded card theme and have that screen real-estate used to show more of the post and pictures. All in need to know when the next post has started is a very thin line. - Sometimes, the subscribe button doesn’t work. - Sometimes, the All feed for an account won’t load and I have to first click on the server itself instead of the All option in order to fix this. - Even though the project is young, opening up the Repo and Issue/Enhancement trackers is ideal. This will have the residual benefit of having others contribute potential code suggestions / merge requests in order to make the app get to a production-ready state faster. Keep up the good work!

This app is amazing! Tons of the features that I was interested in that other apps are working on are already in yours. I have some UI feedback, but want to log it to someplace meaningful. I didn’t see it in the About section, but can you add your GitHub link for this project, so bugs and feature requests can be added there? Also, do you have a Matrix or other chat room like Mlem does? I think that would be valuable as well to discuss enhancements, announcements, etc. Keep up the great work!

Prepping for my next dive trip to Playa Del Carmen

![My current dove kit](https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/3cc6736c-0b8d-49e0-993b-453b128fbc84.jpeg) My current dive kit: - XDEEP Ghost Deluxe with both back cargo pockets (one for backup mask, other for SMB+line) - Apeks XTX50 with DIN DST and yoke converter for travel (at the moment, I’m diving with pretty standard length hoses, but may move to long hose in the future) I use a bungee necklace for my octo, so take a bit of a hybrid approach. - Shearwater Perdix with AI sensor - I have an old Oceanic watch dove computer as a backup - Cressi Digi 2 as an in-line backup to my dive computer as well. I’m not afraid to have my pressure be digital. If that ever breaks, then I may change my mind. It’s nice to have the digital depth as well in case my dive computer ever malfunctions. - Backup ScubaPro compass - Fins are not pictured, but currently using Folding Fins. I really like them except the way that the boot holder clips into the base feel like a bit of a point of failure. Have been exploring travel fins, but they all appear to be positively buoyant, which I’m not sure about. - My masks are both Hollis M-1. Highly recommended for comfort and visibility. - Sola Wrist Light - DiveRite CX2 as my backup light - I carry standard line scissors and a Zeagle Line Cutter - Camera is not pictured, but is a DJI Action 2 in a waterproof case with a handle. If I use the double case, it will last two hour-long dives. If I use the single case, it’s about 1.5 dives. It really varies though based upon resolution and whether I keep it on the whole time. - I have an XDeep bolt snap on my primary second stage reg and the one with the larger hoop on my Digi 2 pressure gauge. The octo uses the bungee bolt snap system in case I want to clip it off instead of using the necklace. I’m doing PADI Rescue Diver soon and they don’t teach using a necklace, so I’m forced to do it their way for that course, then will go back to necklace. - Wetsuit is 3 mil Henderson - ScubaPro booties, hood, and gloves - I found that a roll-up tool bag works nice for a save-a-dive kit. - Additionally, I alway pack some o-ring lube because I hate having a hissing connection with the yoke. Thoughts?
