I know it's not a perfect solution but considering the options, it's better to "sell" my attention to corporate ads in exchange of planting trees than nothing. Even then, I rarely see ads after whitelisting the site.
As far as my research goes, Ecosia seems quite reputable and I support their mission. If they're proven to be otherwise in the future, I won't have a problem to jump ship.

It's interesting phase on fediverse, not hard to be well-known right now. I've certainly remember some usernames from seeing them at unrelated communities in different instances and they're aren't even trying to be popular, just leave thoughtful comments a lot.

Thanks, very helpful! What about posts from instance B and comments in instance B post? I'm assuming instance B users can see both comments from instance A users and instance C users but for them (instance A and C users), they can only see their respective instance users' comments and instance B users' comments?

Sorry, I just checked lemmy, didn't see the notification. This is my first time winning a giveaway for a game I actually have in my wishlist! Thanks a bunch for making my week! :D

I used to check steam_giveaway subreddit and other than contest-like (make the best jokes, etc) giveaway, they usually use simple RNG (random number generator) website/app.

Awesome, hopefully there will be more people on the weekend
Also, just a suggestion for future giveaway if there's any, maybe it's better to use other method than highest vote? It might encourage vote manipulation.

If you know of any good ones, LMK.
Hmm, I would suggest !gamedeals@lemmy.world since lemmy.world is defederated from beehaw. I think it's an appropriate community for this, it has decent number of subscribers but it's pretty dead for now. Maybe your giveaway might give it a life?
This time, I’ll let it run over the weekend.
Hope many people participate!

Dude, you have your own instance AND run a giveaway, that's very much cool in my eyes.
I'm sure you already planned to, but don't forget to link this giveaway to other gaming communities to gain more traction.
Thanks in advance!

Haha, pure coincidence!
I read your comment in one of the Big Lemmy instances' post talking about your instance so I checked it out. Just the right timing to find your giveaway. :D

Hi! I would like either:
- Yuppie Psycho
- Opus Magnum
Cheers! :D
Dunno if it's intentional or not, but I love it. The correlation is hilarious. (Sorry if this topic isn't allowed, mods.)

I do this too. Especially weeks/months/years old post that ask IT-related question that I found in the first place from search engine because I was trying to find the answer. I feel the obligation to leave a reply after I found the solution.

Sounds great, especially for instances with open registration!
