Disappointed on the lacklustre effort with the Fold 5.
I think Samsung has the form factor wrong here. For everyone that doesn't want a stylus, people are going to prefer the shorter/wider versions. It's enough of a deterrent for me that I'll probably go S23 Ultra instead.
Depending how far they can take this, it could open up the Meta Quest Pro as an interesting option for Vision OS development.

I appreciate their straight up honest approach to it.
However I do feel bad for them because it's impossible to imagine them keeping up. They may well carve out a niche in the boutique open source geek linux space, and they may be happy with that - but any chance that they'll capture a meaningful share of more general professional users would seem to negligible now.
I really hope these guys succeed as Immersed is fully cross platform and could pave the way to a shared workspace with users from all headsets and platforms in the future.

Totally - I did buy a QuestPro and I had no illusions :-) I'm thrilled that Quest3 is going to be even better. TBH the biggest limitation for QuestPro right now is that not enough people have them for devs to make really compelling mixed reality apps. Quest3 (and Vision Pro hype ...) should fix that!
I find the people deflating the QuestPro as kind of frustrating. Do you really want companies never to push the bleeding edge and only make things 3 years after they are perfect? If you look through the hype, VisionPro is only half a product as well (can only mirror a single screen? what a fail!). The first gen buyers of that will look like idiots a year later when Gen 2 is available as well.

Clearly there has been a huge issue with massive numbers of kids using multiplayer apps and causing all kinds of issues. I've wondered for ages why Meta doesn't address it and am starting to think perhaps they are in a legal catch-22: acting to restrict what kids do would acknowledge there are significant numbers doing it, which would in turn get them into legal trouble. So before they can meaningfully act to restrict children they have to first create the legal path for them to use the system.
At least I hope this is what's happening and it will mean in turn that we won't have so many squeakers shouting racist taunts in multiplayer apps any more.
Latest podcast from Meta CTO / Head of Reality Labs Andrew Bosworth has lots of great discussion about Quest 3, Quest Pro and the general VR / MR scene.

Well it will be nice to have something a bit cheaper than the Sony option but still doesn't fill the void currently there for the 3D VR180 consumer market. I have to think these are now going to be putting back on the product roadmap now that Vision Pro users are such a clear market for it.

Looks amazing, wish they showed realistic gameplay graphics though. Really need to know how it actually looks to preorder it. At least we will have a few awesome titles locked in for EOY now.
Very impressive work by [ThrillSeeker](https://twitter.com/Thrilluwu) to code this up in literally a couple of days, proving that the Meta Quest Pro does in fact have sufficiently accurate hardware to emulate the eye tracking interaction that seems to be the primary feature people are impressed by with the Apple headset. APK for side loading to be released in a few days so everybody can try this. Hopefully will dispel some of the myths about the capabilities of the Quest hardware.
