yeah they added it maybe a year to 6 months back because they added an auto chat deafen if you typed any kind of slur (including like w*ore etc.) and people were using it to deafen (i may or may not have been one of them). they didnt like that it was screwing with their auto ban system so they added in /deafen. honestly only problem is that you can still use /undeafen, i need some option that actually locks me out of chat for the rest of the game so i dont have the temptation of undeafening

/deafen even better so they know they cant type to you lol
