I feel like I've slept through something.... is there some kind of Lemmy & beans thing going on?

Not a lot really. Daughter (2) is getting fiestier and fiestier and keeps battering everyone with her toy horses. My son has decided to learn Italian on Duolingo and has been making some decent progress!
Finding mealtimes and bedtimes stressful with him though, starting to really dread the evenings.

I'm not even 40 yet and my grandparents were in their 30s when the war ended. My parents had me when I was about my age now and similar for my grandparents for my parents.

Something that I always wonder about people that live in these places is: what do they do for work? There's barely anything around. My only conclusions are that they're either retired, or farm workers.

It's not like you have to upgrade your phone every year. People are on different upgrade cycles in which these devices will be a big upgrade.

I've lived in both halves along the bottom and it's quite accurate. That said, a lot of people in Camarthenshire & Pembrokeshire seem to have quite southernly English accents but are Welsh, a lot are native Welsh speakers so that might give the impression that there's a lot of English people there.
Driving through FUCKING NOTHING is amazing though, stunning views and countryside. I've no idea how the random pockets of people can live there though and not go insane.

I'd like to see a sports specific instance (just something like lemmy.sport) so we could have all the sport communities on one instance, rather than all over the place, and also avoid the weird politics and who's (not) federated with who issues.

This definitely isn't real. The cables don't look right around the truck. If a truck had somehow landed on the cables like this it would have pulled the telegraph pole down

South of Scotland is in Scotland. Same way the South of England is in England and the South of France is in France. This is the first time in my life I've heard someone make this claim before

Apologies if this is a bit too much information! I realised recently that my shorts have a netting like swimming shorts do and decided to ditch the boxers and see how it was. What an absolute game changer! I don't know why I didn't do this a year ago when I started running.
Edit: the move must be to another location within the UK.
"....I'm hungry" "Son, you've been moaning that you're hungry ages before tea, then barely touched your tea saying you're full, and now you're hungry again 20 minutes later. You can finish the tea that's still on the table." "No. Daaad? I'm hungry"
Get ready to be blown away by this incredibly unique Red Bull livery...
For me I think it would to have a full enough English breakfast with the family, a mug of proper coffee, where I don't have to make any of it. Then selfishly I'd love to spend most of the day on my own without doing any chores or being constantly nagged: watch some F1 if it were to be on, read my book on the sofa, enjoy a small beer (Tiny Rebel, Clwb Tropica). Then in the late afternoon, go out for some food for some decent pub food or an Indian. What about you?
I've recently been really enjoying poached eggs on toast with sriracha sauce drizzled on top, with a decent portion of chipotle baked beans on the side.
Thoughts? I doubt the base version will be £30k, but I think this looks decent.
It seems to take nearly 10 minutes to get started. What's actually happening? Are the pistons literally unable to move in the cylinders until the engine is warm enough?
I thought it might be cool to see what different meals people have in the week and maybe provide some inspiration for others!
We're planning on going away this year and are very likely to be staying in the UK. I'd love to go abroad and get a little place near the sea and hire a car so we can go off and explore but it's so expensive, and with having two young children I'm not convinced a package holiday would be practical (I'm thinking of the logistics of hauling them around the airports at crazy hours and having to share a room with them). Have you got any plans to go away this year? If so, where are you off to?
