I've been wondering if I'd technically be able to claim Chinese citizenship by descent, because of my ancestry. I know they have some special rules for those who have Chinese parents or grandparents. Could be useful someday if my presence here in the imperial core becomes untenable and I need a place to escape to. 
I'd have to mention my Chinese grandfather, who passed away before I was born. There's not much I know about him, but one thing I do know is that he apparently left China when the communists won the civil war. That's not exactly something to brag about on a Chinese citizenship application.

When people called him out on it, he not only doubled down, but even came to the_dunk_tank to play some disgusting game of semantics where he argued that such content can't be considered abusive. While Dessalines got rid of that moderator, Nutomic came away unscathed, yet again. I know that people tend to respect Dessalines because of the work he's put into the platform, but it reflects really badly on him if he's willing to look the other way while his friend keeps spouting reactionary bullshit.

The US doesn't have a walking culture outside some cities like NY, Boston, DC, San Francisco, and maybe Chicago. In most part of the US it's strange to see people walking at random, or any, hours. I spent some time in Sugarland, Texas, and walked to the pharmacy once, some 15-20 minutes walk and people stopped to ask me if I was okay. The HOA president contacted the family I was staying with to let them know walking was regulated and someone in the house was violating the rules.

The history of British feminism is an interesting one. One thing that never gets talked about in popular discourse, is that many former suffragettes ended up becoming fascists. This undoubtedly had an affect on post-suffragette feminism in the UK. Emmeline Pankhurst, the founder of the WSPU, the organization that started the suffragette movement, expelled all socialists from the organization after WW1. She then became an anti-communist, and many former suffragettes flocked to fascism during the 1930s. Most people don't even know that many of them even ended up holding positions in the British Union of Fascists.

I was listening to the radio while assembling some furniture  when I heard the presenter tell a story about how  once beat a few records playing golf, and because he didn't want those records to ever be broken by anyone, he decided to be a petty little shit and  golf in the DPRK. Ah yes, totally true story, I'm sure.  So I looked up golf in the DPRK, and not only is golf not banned, but apparently they run an annual golf tournament that's even open to foreign players.  It took me literally less than a minute to debunk that ridiculous claim. Even NATOpedia has a page on the fucking tournament.  But as usual Westerners just can't help themselves and just have to pull nonsensical claims about bAD cOuNtRy out of their colonial stinky doodoo asses. Unreal.
