no thats the thing, steam works without a problem. it is only when i do it NOT through steam where i get issues.
but i play mainly on windows anyway, i just wanted to try it out a bit out of boredom and got surprisingly good results.
i just wait how the windows kernel restrictions influence kernel level anti cheat, and depending on the result i may switch to full linux again if kernel AC breaks and devs are forced to use "normal" AC again

Yeah it's just games🤷 if push comes to shive i can just reinstall 'em i was just confused by the difference in behaviour depending wether the system or steam mounts it

This could very well be the anwser. there are in fact c: and z: in ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/0/pfx/dosdevices
although i couldn't find an indicator that those are actually in use when launching a game through steam

Ah ok i think i get why it doesn't work through the auto mount, but i still don't understand why it works completely fine if i mount it through steam? What is different when steam mounts it?
So, I discovered weird behavior when trying to play games on an NTFS file system in Linux. When i auto mount the drive through a fstab entry, it is only able to launch Linux native games (I think I read somewhere that this is a permission issue). However, if I mount it through steams "select a drive" option, it works without a problem (so far at least). I assume this is again a permission issue, as when I mount the drive through steam, I get a Polkit password prompt. Anyone got a clue what's going on, and/or maybe a way to make the auto mount work, so I don't have to manually mount it after every boot? Ah sorry 'bout that. I tried to make it darkmode friendly, and white text seemed to bright. Will consider this next time

That is incredibly wrong
- "Uben" doesn't exist.
- Open means "offen"
- "Fluss" would be river or flow or flux

If you want to use a custom rom, i can recommend pixels. Basically every custom rom is first and sometimes only available for pixel. I myself have a pixel 6a with lineageOS and magisk for root. Works fine apart from expected problems of tinkering with normally locked down files (be careful with ui customisation, got into a bootloop cause i wanted to change my quick tiles. Luckily easily fixed by deleting the settings folder of the app)
Edit: The app i mentioned was iconify which has a guide on what to do when bootlooping because of the app. (Need adb for that tho)

Like the title says i need an os for a x86 tablet. I already tested various different linux distros, (mint, ubuntu, debian etc.) with various de's (gnome, xfce, plasma, plasma mobile) but nothing really suits a tablet. I tried android x86 but that wouldn't install. Basically my problem is that apps etc. Are made with mouse and keyboard in mind making me unable to for example easily scroll as i have to drag the scroll bar manually. Anyone got ANY recommendation? The default os was mint btw.
Edit: solved i just used a paid app that gives you 3 free downloads Hey, so I have some downloads on Amazon Prime that I want to remove the DRM from, however I only find deleted posts on Reddit or some sketchy programs/sites I really don't trust. Does any of you guys know how to remove the DRM? I'm willing to do a lot of work if I have to as long as it's free. Also, if it is an application that does it, I'd prefer FOSS even if it's inferior. Maybe I can reward the first person with a solution with some movie of choice😉
Specifically i want that the baterry icon in my status bar doesn't change color when the baterry saver is on. I have a rooted phone with magisk and lsposed if that helps. (My reason for that is that the color doesn't fit with my theming but i need the battery saver to keep my phone from dying throughout the day)
Doese anybody have any app recommendations for a rooted phone with lineageOS? Things like: A proper file explorer A terminal if possible And apps in general that you can't use without root (i.e. power saver tuner(although it's possible without root))
Pretty much all graphical apps that dont have thier own theming option (like firefox) are always just the white background default theme. No matter wether it's qt or gtk. Wich files would i need to edit to change that? Searching on the internet only told me that i should change an environment variable bit doing so changed nothing even though i have the themes installed
[dotfiles](https://github.com/saltyiceteamaker/unixporn) dont mind that cava is white... i forgot to change that WM: i3 Bar: Polybar Compositor: Picom Terminal: Konsole Applauncher: Krunner Editor: Neovim with Nvchad with a custom(albeit messy) theme
