Remember when NFTs sold for millions of dollars? 95% of the digital collectibles are now probably worthless.

Why did you even buy them though? Surely you could have just downloaded them for free?

And practically all the courts in countries that used to be part of the Empire/Commonwealth wear pretty much identical outfits. The whole justice system was founded in the UK.

  • Does anyone know why so many "celebrities" are doing adverts for Royal Match?!
  • Quickswitch79 Quickswitch79 Now 100%

Yeah, but these guys have got tens (or hundreds in Cowell's case) of millions and will always be earning from various royalties etc. There's no need for them to make these adverts.

  • I keep getting adverts for it with people like Simon Cowell, Olly Murs, Take That etc advertising it. First of all, why would they do it when they've already got millions in the bank? Secondly, it's exactly the same as Candy Crush and all the other identical games, so why is it so popular? And finally, wtf is up with Simon Cowell's eyes?!

Also started playing Remnant 2 on Friday. Amazing game, looks so beautiful. Pretty hard, but not unfairly so.

In two minds about watching the England match as I'm so used to defeat at the last moment 😅

Went to see Metallica at the cinema last night. Amazing gig. What I can't get my head around though is that it's live, yet it's advertised as being on later today but is actually being shown on Monday evening, even though it's taking place in Texas which is roughly 7-8 hours behind us. I don't know if I'm being duped that it's live. They showed the crowd for about an hour before the gig started, so I'm sure it is live.

  • What are some notable scams in history that went unnoticed for so long?
  • Quickswitch79 Quickswitch79 Now 60%

Well no, because thousands of people have won it all over the world. Yes, it might be 14 million to one, but for a couple of quid I don't care.

I do a bit of voluntary work in a place that has the full size version of these. My main gripe is the joystick. The ball bit is screwed on, not joined to the stick, so the ball keeps needing to be screwed back tight. Also I'm not sure if I'm just remembering things differently, but I'm sure the original sticks were longer. These feel too short for me.

I am a loader on a dust cart. I found out about this type of website through my brother, who was mates with the IT guy where he worked. He told him about Digg and reddit, which I then joined. I actually prefer the tech side of things rather than everything being memes.

  • That's why no one with half a brain downloads the official Reddit app.
  • Quickswitch79 Quickswitch79 Now 100%

I tried it about 4 times, thinking I was missing something. How on earth could something so bad, possibly be popular? But I realised I'd just got used to RIF. The official app is absolutely dire.

  • I'm in Lemmy.world, but I've seen there are others. Do I have to switch in between them (if so, how?) or is it fine the way I have it? Thanks a lot.
