I don't remember if it was when I was 18 or 19, but there was a birthday when my plan was to invite my friends over for pizzas and have a good time at home. I had communicated this very clearly to my family. The thing is that when my friends arrived at the time I told them, my family didn't have anything ready, I asked them what was going on and they didn't answer me. My friends, who lived far away, had to leave at dusk. It was then that my family became active, and they put me to make the pizzas, the appetizers and so on, all for them and without my consent or knowledge. Eventually my friends came to think that I didn't want them to eat pizza or be there to celebrate, and it made me feel really bad. I think ever since then, when my family asks me what I want to do for my birthday, I say nothing, since they will still do whatever they want.

En verdad no tengo problemas con la edad para votar actual.
Estoy convencido, como alguien ya adulto que pasó por la adolescencia, de que los adolescentes no tienen idea de que es lo que quieren en la vida, son muy volubles y manipulables y no es hasta que llegan a la adultez que pueden empezar crearse una idea de cuáles son sus ideales politicos. Vamos, incluso los adultos no lo tienen muy claro hasta que están más cerca de los 30 que de los 20, pero aumentar la edad de votación hasta las 30 o más sacaría a muchos de votantes de la ecuación, la mayoría de ellos gente con ideas progresistas.
Los 18 quizá no sea ideal, pero es aceptable. Hablas de Greta, por lo que he leído recientemente ella a sus dieciocho ha madurado aún más sus ideas, dándose cuenta de que los problemas son más sistemático, algo de lo que quizá no era consciente a sus 16. En lo personal, hay un montón de cosas que no consideraba a mis 16 que no fue hasta mis 22, cuando pude votar por primera vez, que me di cuenta de ellas.

I've had a game in development stalled for a month because I'm also writing a story, but the story is also half stalled because I'm replaying a game, and I'm already getting frustrated. It's something that is starting to bothering me, it seems like I can't do something if I'm not completely immersed in it: If I want to watch movies or a series, I must do a marathon; if I want to play a game, I must pass it in less than a week; if I want to make a game, I must get into a Crunch because "reasons"; if I want to write, I must work on making it the best story I've ever written so far. Is this normal? should I not worry so much? or how can I better manage the things I want and need to do?
While I was documenting myself to create a romantic work between two women, I made a little detour and read a Manga (Love Hurts, by Kiriko Nananan) that made me wonder if the idea I initially had for my story is too idealistic to the point of bordering on childish. It's just that the manga portrays interpersonal relationships in such a raw way (compared to what I've been consuming until then), that perhaps the impact it gave me was even greater than I expected. I understand that there are those who prefer an escapist work, experiencing more of a dream than a one-on-one copy of real life. I also know that there are those who don't see much value in escapism and prefer art to function as a mirror of reality. I personally found myself somewhere in between. What I would like to know is which side I should lean more towards in order to do the best work possible.
I'm writing a story and I'm worried that I might inadvertently turn one of my main characters into a Mary Sue. I'd like to know if it's enough to give her the odd flaw or imperfection or if I should be more drastic and make her screw up big time.

My mother's laptop has been running as fast as a turtle on a snail going uphill for a long time now. Everything has been done to it, including formatting it and installing another, less cumbersome OS, but nothing improves. I have an HHD available, I have done some tests and it does work. Would changing the hard drive do any good?

In recent days we have been giving home to a black kitten less than a month old yet to be named, the thing is that we already have a cat at home. My cat "Rubia" has been with us for 13 years now, beyond having lost her eyesight due to age, she is very healthy. But since the new kitty arrived I have seen her very stressed. She can't smell or hear the new kitten without snorting, she eats very little and hasn't gone to the bathroom for a couple of days. I've seen videos on YouTube and read several articles where they say this is normal, but I can't help but worry. I'm worried that forcing her to accept a new cat will affect her health at the age she is, but I also don't want to just abandon the new kitten, although if it turns out that things aren't going to improve, I would be forced to look for someone who can adopt her.... **Update**: Thank you all so much for your advice, I will do my best to follow them 💜. Recently Rubia has returned to use her litter box normally, and although she still doesn't like Morena (tentative name of the new kitten), I feel more optimistic, we just have to take things slowly.
