I been banning the accounts (and removing everything they have posted) as I randomly come across them/they get reported. So if you report the account everything will get removed as soon as I see it. They been spamming from other instances not just eviltoast.org tho.

Yea they keep all the data. I deleted everything on my account when the whole shitshow happened and then GDPR requested the data associated with the account and it was all still there. And when I requested that they delete that too they outright refused.

I don't really care about it, but celebrate Christmas and the new year.

Nope, it does not. You can have a team, but you absolutely can card count on your own in BJ. I think you are the one who needs to watch a video I am afraid.

Keyboard and mouse for literally everything except things where using a wheel makes sense (ETS2 and ATS).
I can not use controllers at all. I can't wrap my head around using them properly and pretty much all except one (ps3) hurt my hands after 15 mins.

Oh no...
Yea, I am afraid our instance name is literally a meme so I hope you are fine with telling everyone that you use Arch anytime you post anything from this account :D
Also welcome to the instance! If you use arch or not :)

Yea I guess. It threw me so off guard because the pictures from the rest of the rooms were completely standard real estate pictures and then I see this shit.
Great idea!

I am pretty sure its linoleum not tiles actually. It is really common in older houses over here.
Edit: actually the more I think about it, the more I am sure my grandma has the exact same linoleum in the kitchen and its terrible.

I don't actually believe it is haunted at all, but this house IS also suspiciously cheap and over 200 years old.

Holy shit, that is ... perfect.
I don't understand what has to posses you to think this is a great photo to post. Actually I might have a guess what.

RTX 3090 and xorg, because if its not broken don't fix it. I need to have something I can actually rely on working 100% of the time (or at least be broken in expected ways) and from what I read wayland isn't all that great with Nvidia GPUs.

Oh yea, I have used it for other things and it is amazing, it just never crossed my mind to check for that specific issue, silly me :D. I really didn't think they would actually let you disable the update check and I always complained about it because on phone it lets you run whatever outdated version you want...

Not who you replied to but I haven't had any issues with a 3000 series card and LTSC, but I only used it for a whooping 12 hours since I got the card (I do 99% of gaming directly on Linux) so take my answer with a grain of salt.
I might be missing something but can't you just manually download the drivers from the Nvidia website on LTSB?
MouseWithBeer Now • 100%
Oooooooo I didn't know about that either. I haven't had the issue yet with that on Arch, but it was a constant issue back when I was using Manjaro and for some reason I never thought to look up if I can disable it (I just automatically assumed I couldn't I guess). Thanks for letting me know about it!
I see, makes sense ^^.

Ah someone else who updates when Discord stops working, there is at least 2 of us :D
Huh, is new emojis being available a common thing? I am too old for that shit and still use the text ones :)

And those I literally said I update at least once a month or more.

I run that command in the background while working, usually it doesn’t even require a reboot.
Interesting, I always avoid updating as much as I can whenever I work on something because 3/4 of the time something starts to act wonky resulting in me needing to close everything down and reboot.
I would imagine having to deal with it for that long every time would make you wanna game even less. I am so glad that 95% of games work fine on Linux nowadays.
It has been a while since I last made a post questioning things, life has been really busy. But I currently got a little bit of downtime so why not make a new thread again :) So the question is how often do you do updates? Every day? Once a week? Once a month? When XY thing happens? Never? Or is it just completely random?
As you have probably noticed we took a pretty hands off approach to moderating this instance. If something is straight up malicious we will remove it, if not we will let the moderators of the respective communities to deal with it. We believe everyone should have the right to their own opinions, even if we don't necessarily agree with them and based on that we have not defederated from any other instance, till now. Yesterday I came across what I would very much consider borderline, if not just straight up CP communities that someone on this server subscribed to. There was not just one single community, there were several on a singular instance. I told Sören about it and the instance has now been defederated and the communities purged. Hopefully there shouldn't be any leftovers of it. I don't imagine anyone having an issue with us doing that, but we just wanted to let you know for fully transparency. We like for people to have access to everything, but some things are just too much (and rightfully illegal).
I put Arch on my laptop 3 weeks ago and it seemed to run fine so now after getting a new SSD for my desktop it was its time install Arch there too. Its completely unsetup so far, but obviously the first thing I had to do was to run neofetch.
It has been a little bit since my last post. I generally post when I am bored at work and the past 2 weeks were busy. Today for a change I am curious about your hardware. Do have a laptop, desktop, both? One, 2, more? Why so many if you got more than 1? What hardware is it in it? Anything you would like to upgrade/change for your use case? Ever ran into any support issues with them? Any Steamdecks or funky hardware around?
Last week I was asking [about when and why you started using Linux](https://iusearchlinux.fyi/post/179921), thank you everyone who took their time to write an answer! It was interesting to read all of your guys stories and I was surprised just how far back some of them go. Now I am curious about your guys DE/WMs. What do you use? What do you like/don't like about it? What have you tried? What is you go to? Any you absolutely can not stand the sight of? Any that you tried that disappointed you? Once again no judgment, just curious about peoples experiences.
I am just very curious what peoples stories are. And if you are not using Linux what is holding you back? No judgement of any kind, just pure curiosity.

Nothing exciting, but it is actually my first Arch install (been using Manjaro for years). Now I can actually say that I use Arch btw. And yes, I might have used archinstall, I am not smart enough to do it properly :(
I made this thread in case someone is looking for any specific replacement for specific reddit subs (or something else) and hopefully someone might be able to chime in with some good suggestions.
