Here is a photo series I did during covid when all the restaurants and cafes were closed. I was trying to get a bit of a disconnected feeling but at the same time longing for that restaurant experience again. This is why I went with the shitty weather, looking in approach. Luckily we have all that back now. I never really did anything with the series. The ramen one is probably my favourite which was the one I shot first. Let me know what you thing of this as a series.

I do photography for a living, but honestly I find shooting a billboard campaign less stressful then posting in a community like this. I don't put paid work up but I'll see if I have something else.
You are saying your kind of lazy when it comes to taking photos as well as not growing in your photography, but do they not go hand in hand? Obviously it's about finding time as well and I sure could do with a bit more of a lazy approach sometimes.

Lovely shot, I don't think it's too much. You could have cranked up the wb in camera as well, so I don't see a problem. Saying that I have never entered a photo competition, so I don't know what their general opinion is.

Not entirely sure what to make of this one. It's doing the opposite of what I expect of a withering flower shot. I was expecting moody soft light but the light is quite hard and I kind of dig that. It brings out the details in the flower. The thing that does throw me though is the white background a coloured background would do a lot for this shot I recon. Did you try any other colours?
It's a scary thing to let randomers critique your work. I have only done it once myself but might post one later today if I'm feeling brave enough.

This is a photo I took recently enough. What I like about is how your eyes get drawn to the yellow taxi. Despite being quite a busy with all the lines and leaves there is a certain kind of calmness in the shot. What could make this shot better for me is if there was just a little bit more going on around the taxi maybe someone getting in or out. I'd be curious to here your thoughts. Nice shot! Love all the different tones of blue in this and the way the warm light on the pier contrast with that. The only thing I might have done myself is to frame it a bit higher to include more sky and less water. I think it would create a calmer image.
