22 instruments is quite impressive. It's a modest job, but a school's band director or instructor could be within reach. High schools and colleges would likely pay best. You can also try private primary and middle schools. Provate schools will have high standards, but could pay more. Also possibly a music producer. I don't think AI will ever really eliminate music made by people, no matter how good it gets. Session musicians can do pretty well once a reputation gets created, but that would probably be more a long-term investment. I'm not sure what you've done musically, but a mic and audio card/receiver plus sailing the high seas for software is a cheap way to get into making your own music.

There's also getting a different job until the music tree bears fruit. I'm not doing what I want yet, but I've worked my way high enough in my company that, hopefully soon, I'll be able to get back to what I actually want to do (engineering). It's frustrating, but having a future goal that I'm working towards and steps I can take once I'm making enough helps make it bearable.

I would hold onto Charlotte if at all possible. If you love and take care of her, you're a good person for her to be with. Pets can be our rocks, without which it is easy to be swept away by despair. Your career status has nothing to do with being "worthy" of a pet. Love and basic necessities are what they need. That said, i get where you're coming from. I'm waiting to get a cat until I know for sure I can afford and have certain furniture after my recent move. But again, having that goal helps me slog through the stuff I don't like. You already have her, and I think losing her would likely be a terrible outcome for both of you.

You are worthy of her, you are worthy of love from others, and you are worthy of love from yourself. Godspeed.

It can take some getting used to, but I can shave in under 30 seconds once the lather is on my face. I don't shave everything, just lining up the beard line, but a full face shave would take about a minute and a half tops. Pulling the skin taut with your off hand helps. Play around with how you hold it too. I typically fold my handle almost all the way around so I can control the tilt with more precision. Go slow until you naturally go fast. You'll naturally speed up with practice.

The "Community" tab on a game in your library or the store page, I forget which. It's usually filled with guides, art, highlights, and a heavy dose of shiposting (often in the form of fake guides). Have not encountered posts OP is referring to, but I don't really go on there much.

Made the switch to Tidal, and I only have a couple nitpicks: no console app and it does this weird thing on desktop where it plays a split second of paused music when other apps or windows are opened. They're small things though, and I'm happy to be supporting artists more.

They have left-hand hardware that has a thumb analog stick and a bunch of mapable keys. Problem is getting games to use "controller" functions like analog sticks and mouse functions at the same time. I haven't tried it myself, but apparently most games don't have a way to recognize and use that as a keyboard function

Not the person you replied to, but I was the same way until I realized all my favorite artists were either dying or retiring and chances to ever see them were slipping away, and quickly. I just go to whatever shows I can and just be present in the moment. Even small local shows. I've found a bunch of cool artists by going to shows with artists I don't even know.

Like, imagine having the opportunity to see a Zeppelin show in their prime, then imagine thinking about going, then saying "meh." I couldn't even comprehend the regret I would feel passing something like that up. And it circles back to not knowing you're in the "good old days" until they're already past. I just don't want to look back at missed opportunities and kick myself for the rest of my life.

Like they said, it's not for everyone, especially not these days. Ticketmaster is a plague, most shows are ridiculously overpriced with food and drink to match, and way too many people are focused on taking a video they'll never watch. But if things only get worse, I'm going to go down swinging and keep going to shows until doing so would financially break me.

Fun game. I don't usually go in for card games, so I ignored the hype, but this is a good one. Got to ante 4 a few times over the last couple of hours before rng killed me. I'm sure I'll get my money's worth out of this one

I have a similar line of thinking. I'm a musician, so if I was filthy rich I might want to donate money to a school's music department. If the school is one fiscal entity, I would have to put that as a stipulation to ensure they gave the money to that department, not divert it to something overfunded or just padding the board's pocket as bonuses for "a job well done"

This is outrageous. Where are the bags of garbage that come in to take the socks away? Where are they? This kind of condition is never tolerated in my dresser. You have a hole like that I put you in the trash. Right away. No second chance, no nothing. Socks with holes in the heel, I have a special trash can for holes in the heel. You are ripping: right to the trash. You are having moth holes: right to the trash can, right away. Sock legs too loose: trash. Tight: trash. They get that way where the threads inside tangle up with the toes: you right to the trash. Sock has no padding? Believe it or not, trash. Sock has too much padding, also trash. Not padded, over-padded. Sock was part of a unique set and the other is gone, believe it or not, trash, right away. I have the best sock drawer in the world because of trash.

Arkane and Remedy are the two that stand out at the moment.

Redfall was a pretty bad indicator coming from Arkane. But if they get their act together and go back to games like Dishonored, they'll be back on the good list. Keeping them up here out of hope. They make fantastic games when they're allowed to.

Remedy just always puts out bangers. Control is how I found them, and I love their style as well as the obvious amount of love and work put into their universe. Still need to play AW2, but I've only heard good things about it. They're not everyone's cup of tea, but they are mine.

Am I weird for thinking the finger helps the composition? Very cute. My dogs have never been graced with snow. It makes me wonder if pets can enjoy recreational travel as humans do or if it would just stress them out.

Ths might be a silly question, but asking those is how i learn sometimes. I'm trying to install my first Linux distro to set up a Plex server and one of the few things I know is you need a wired internet connection. My intended server location is across the house from my router, and there isnt much room there to set up temporarily. It would be possible, just a *removed* and a half. Is it instead possible to connect my SSD via SATA to USB to a laptop, install Ubuntu and wireless adapter drivers on it while connected to ethernet, then put the SSD in the server to boot? Or do I need to do all this through my intended setup? Thanks for the help, just trying to make my first Linux install as painless as possible. EDIT: Thank you all for your responses, I'm going to respond as I can since I'm at work. I The number one thing I learned is that I need to do more research. I recognize only a handful of these acronyms lol
