A heartwarming story here would be the pay kiosk for tracking lunch purchases being stolen or destroyed.
Paying off debt incurred to hungry children is insane shit.

You turn the faucet and it takes one day to turn it, and it's massive, it's as big as the wall of that building right there behind you. You turn that, and all of that water aimlessly goes into the Pacific (Ocean), and if you turned that back, all of that water would come right down here and into Los Angeles
You found the faucet, now turn it

Its wild this research is even being attempted, its borderline unethical to experiment on otherwise healthy people.
I fully don't expect immune system driven aging to be understood until the Thymus better understood. DNA reproduction and telomere related aging will not be addressable until cell to cell signaling is finally mapped, and methylation activation/deactivation can be targeted.
Most likely some kind of cloned brain tissue can help reduce age-related cognitive decline and some diseases. Imo we'd get far more out of targeting specific diseases than going after aging.

Its going to take hundreds of elections to vote your way away from the genocide country, founded by genocide, built by genocide and stopping them from participating in genocide. You'd have to run the pro genocide people out of every dime they have by supporting their opponents. And they're spending money to defeat democrats right now.
A general strike could do it sooner, but it would be brutal, painful and require a level of solidarity above and beyond lecturing people on an online forum

The military is a heirarchal organization. Having individual expression in it opens the door to like doubting the mission. I actually think it would be funnier if the military just banned gender entirely: "the military has one gender and its pronouns are They/Them"

I mean its a bombasticatic term for "capital accumulation" in the tech sector. Or, more accurately, the effects of capital accumulation and monopoly in the tech sector.

well the richest guy on the planet and the republican party candidate both are trying to portray kamala harris as a communist when she's possibly slightly to the right of nixon.
I do think the media needs to be broken up, the lack of competition for big media (including social media) has resulted in some level of complacency with unhinged conspiracies.

well, the worst people in israel are all gunning for trump. When there is no option for victory sometimes denying the most evil people on earth a win is the best we can do.

its truthiness at work. This is why even the dumb economists are looking at the Trump Tax Cut Plan and sigh. Its just corporate power metasticizing over all 3 branches of government. When Vance talks about democrats stripping the country for parts thats literally his game plan. He knows its unpopular so he says its not him doing it despite that was his previous job as a venture capitalist
I'd like to see what drugs the original poster is on when making a post.
I'm thinking of things like heliocentrism where there was some modern discovery or revelation by science that invalidated a common assumption prior. My understanding is that flat earth is more a recent phenomena but I'd love to hear some ancient ideas people now miss. Did people think trees weren't alive? Did people think evaporation was where things simply disappeared? I'd would love to hear these ideas.
