Rotten Tomatoes' top 100 movies of all time list sure is something
  • DashEightMate DashEightMate Now 100%

The thing with Rotten Tomatoes is that its a binary scoring system. If I give a very mediocre capeshit film 6/10 then that's counted as a "positive". That's exactly why movies like Black Panther make it so high, they have a broadly warm reception, but nobody's saying Black Panther is top 100.

What do vegans even eat? Grass?

I like this take. Although I don't think there was no friction, it was afresh breath of air from typical horror films and the baggage they carry.

But then wait, where does the brain go? Cause if they swapped brains, wouldn't Chris inhabit the other guy's body and the other guy inhabit Chris's? Or is the conscious detached from the brain somehow?

Ok that was the other part I didn't get. Chris would have still been in that subconscious below zone right? Maybe thats the key to everything.

  • ::: spoiler spoilers Not sure how I feel about it. I feel the first half was really strong, there was a lot going for it while it explored the racism of the family. It had the perfect amount of unease and tenseness. The second half kind of threw that all out of the window. Like, I felt like the story was trying to get people to introspect and bring to light a lot of the ingrained racism, and then it all got tossed aside for a sensationalist "brainwashing black people into subconscious slaves". The last little bit was exciting and high energy, but it felt shoehorned in. Overall I liked the movie, but it felt like it was trying to be two different kinds of movies at once, and each side clashed as a result. What are your thoughts? edit: apparently I completely misunderstood a part of the movie and now I understand what they were getting at. I should watch it again sometime and try to pick up anything else I missed. :::
