We had a cold front move through yesterday....dropped it about a degree. haha.
I LOVE thunderstorms at night! If one passes during the day, it just makes it 10x more humid .

I need AC for about 6 months out of the year (used to be three, maybe three and half) here in the east/south US. The humidity is so bad it makes 90F seem like 110F and even the shade won't cool you down and it drops very little when the sun goes down.
I'm replying because my electrical panel is being replaced right now and I have no power (the router is on a batt backup)...it heated up in here and I'm able to psychologically deal with it for now....if the installation goes south and I'll be without power for more than a few hours I'll take the cat and head to my sister's place :)

If my mom was still around, and I showed her this pic, she'd consider it a challenge and make a real one.

Thanks! I wish I still had them!
Tiger and a T34. I later made a diorama with the Tiger wrecked and the T34 looking like a champ next to it. No pics of that though, my son was a teenager a pre-teen at the time and decided to destroy it /

I'm re watching the MCU chronologically. I'm up to Black Widow but I'm not sure I want to watch it (missed it on release).
I love the character, but not sure if she's worth an entire movie.

I've dabbled since the late 90s but didn't switch completely until about 2019. I mainly learned on Mandrake and Ubuntu but Arch made me learn so much more.
Now I have two of them, a daily driver and a plex server. The only thing I use my windows machine for is gaming and editing.
Arch will force you to learn and it's loads of fun!
I couldn't access the site for a wile today, not my posts are working, but post replies don't. Sever load?

I might just dump it altogether, I only lurk anyway and the communities I subscribe to are mainly for humor. I haven't checked it in several days now.

I have a separate account for Lemmy, mastodon and pixelfed. I kinda like it that way for now, and I don't want to have to create an all encompassing account and lose all of my connections across instances.
Unless someone comes up in an easy way to do that.

I love the pace, and how it contains so many references to the other Treks.

I own it, but I've been so engrossed in this current campaign on WITE2 that I haven't spent a lot of time with it. I hear great things so I'll get on it soon(ish).

A little screen flicker but never on the map and is not distracting at all. The launcher doesn't do Linux pathing right so you have to delete the launcher.exe and symlink the game executable to it. It has so far only caused a problem with one update. Also, only proton 5.0-10 works.
I'll be starting a War in the Pacific campaign once my WITE2 gets to December 8th. I have to run that on a Windows VM but it's old so rund well.
War in the West works out of the box with Proton. I'll start that in 1943 and play all three concurrently.
I also like RimWorld and Wildermyth, but don't have the graphics card to stream them. They work well locally though.

If you like slapstick, Kung Fu Hustle is a classic along with Shaolin Soccer. Steven Chow is a genius.
Helloo all! I subbed to the reddit sub but never posted anything and I hope being here will change that. I'm very happy to have signed up. Does anyone use Mastodon (its like a federated Twitter)? -E
