Lemmy and Friendica federation

There seem to be serious issues with federation between Lemmy and Friendica. When I comment something on a Lemmy server or try to make a post it doesnt get through. Sometimes it gets through to the server after a day or so and other times it has showed up instantly but its very unstable. I have tested with two Friendica accounts - on venera.social and librenet.de.
On my Mastodon accounts I have been able to comment and they showed up on the Lemmy instance instantly.

Is this a known issue?
