Takes 2.5 minutes to build up but well worth the wait!

Starts pretty heavy on the vocals but gets proper trancy about 1 minute in. The original mix of this came out around 2000.

https://tranceattack.net/in-search-of-sunrise-20/ Looks like they're releasing one mix a week for 6 weeks, each from a different "legend" (but we don't get to know who yet).

Five years ago, Neptune Project started a remix contest as part of the release of their "A Question Of Reality" album. The remix contest was specifically for one of the stand-out tracks on it, "Pulse," for anyone who wanted to participate. In the end, three winners and a few follow-ups were chosen that were supposed to get released on Mythology over two remix EPs. The second remix EP release however never happened, and my remix being part of the follow-ups was stuck in release limbo. As of this Saturday, that has changed: I was able to reach out to Dan and he gave me the green light to go ahead and share this track with you all directly! This is the full length version of the remix from 2019. There was no shorter version of this track. - The original track (seems to be partially geoblocked): https://soundcloud.com/neptune-project/neptune-project-feat-polly-strange-pulse-1?in=neptune-project/sets/a-question-of-reality - The album "A Question Of Reality": https://amplifyd.com/neptune-project/digital/a-question-of-reality-/a387b77b-b8a2-4e14-a727-3e1f9ac0b0bf - The winning remixes EP: https://amplifyd.com/neptune-project/digital/pulse-remix-winners/04e8f5b6-0160-4309-88ba-15c3625556d4

In the early days, trance rarely had vocals or if it did they were just another instrument among many. The idea of trance was to help the dancer get into a certain mental state which is beyond words and having too many vocals tends to pull things down into the concrete and breaks the spell. As everything became more commercialized and mainstream, this was forgotten. Another nice track by Armin from this time is Walhalla - [https://youtu.be/hFfdWRvAkpU?si=Mqwil-3GDZaxK\_Po&t=313](https://youtu.be/hFfdWRvAkpU?si=Mqwil-3GDZaxK_Po&t=313)
