Statecraft
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/MJpzu) This feels sensible. There will always be naysayers, there will always be exports to poorer countries, but arguing against such a policy makes it sound like protecting the status quo for the sake of it.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/T5ciR) It's a theoretical pathway, but it's a nice read overall for someone who's not into warring all that much. I've found the explanations understandable.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/jIxHh) Most likely nothing is going to come out of this, but I guess it's still a nice political gesture.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/ya1Bi) I do wish EC pulls this off. It would great having an actual home-grown competitor to cloud providers. EU does data protection better than anyone else, this would very much be a symbiotic relationship.
Regular archivers are sad today, I've upload the PDF of the article page [here](https://ufile.io/wrvj78lg). ___ A fairly strongly worded opinion article by a clinician and associate professor. Let's hope she's wrong, but the argument she provides sounds plausible.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/WJnIw) > "Seldom is so ambitious a case filed on so slight a basis," wrote Circuit Judge Raymond Kethledge, noting there are thousands of companies that have manufactured PFAS but just 10 listed as defendants in the case. How on earth did that happen? It's such a disappointment, but at the same time I understand the judicial system has to follow the law and apply it equally. Why was the lawsuit *so* limited in the first place?
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/MRWip) This is an incredibly shit article trying to play reader's emotions. I do not agree with the execution of ULEZ expansion. But death threats? Defacing? *What the actual fuck*, people?
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/LIgZE) Normally I prefer specialization, but these industries are massive enough to still have economy of scale benefits even after duplicating efforts across continents. It's probably also a nice boost to local economies.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/e7Znz) Finally some sanity prevailing!
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/xYuTD) It seems US is starting to push back a little. Can't say I blame them.
Archive.org fails to bypass firewall, ghostarchive fails altogether, archive.today is not happy with my work IP today. Would appreciate anyone posting an archive link of sorts for everyone as I've found the write up very interesting.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/M688s) This is such a shitshow. The only thing that would surprise me at this point would be an actual end of the conflict. ___ [\[WSJ\] - Iran Helped Plot Attack on Israel Over Several Weeks](https://www.wsj.com/world/middle-east/iran-israel-hamas-strike-planning-bbe07b25) | [Archive](https://archive.ph/XcaAJ) [\[BBC\] - How Hamas staged Israel lightning assault no-one thought possible](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67046750) [\[Reuters\] - How Hamas duped Israel as it planned devastating attack](https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/how-israel-was-duped-hamas-planned-devastating-assault-2023-10-08/) [\[FP\] - What You Need to Know About the Israel-Hamas Violence](https://foreignpolicy.com/2023/10/07/hamas-attack-israel-declares-war-gaza-why-explained/) | [Archive](https://archive.ph/jHHKU) [\[FT\] - ‘We need to conquer Gaza’: Netanyahu faces demands for ground offensive](https://www.ft.com/content/f9ad87a3-1145-43d5-8b00-72399e187aa4) | [Archive](https://archive.ph/Uaa3E) [\[FT\] - Israel says it has regained control of towns outside Gaza](https://www.ft.com/content/1569b97d-cd59-4ab4-8180-e826884cc04a) | [Archive](https://archive.ph/R6ZM2) [\[Politico\] - Israel war with Hamas escalates; total death toll tops 1,100 ](https://www.politico.eu/article/israels-netanyahu-vows-mighty-vengeance-against-hamas-after-attack/) [\[GN\] - Israeli defense minister orders 'complete siege' on Gaza Strip with no electricity, food or fuel](https://ground.news/article/israeli-defense-minister-orders-complete-siege-on-gaza-strip-with-no-electricity-food-or-fuel) [\[AP\] - Live updates | Israel says it’s at war after surprise Hamas attack](https://apnews.com/live/israel-hamas-war-live-updates)
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/AuxXN) > including German retailer Metro and US cigarette maker Philip Morris. I'm suprisingly OK with Philip Morris staying there and poisoning them. Sort of feels like an underground resistance. Screw all the other companies, though. Reap what you sow and all that.
[Archive link](https://archive.ph/D7ork) Wankers. Wankers everywhere.
It seems every couple of years it's in danger to shut down. Is this a genuine thing, a political play or something else?
[Archive link](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/eaY7F) The first I've heard of it was yesterday(?) when the military defeat happened. Seems like it dissolving itself.
[Archive link](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/ON6rq) I'm sort of torn on this. I really like the idea of all member states having an equal say on things, but at the same time Hungary and Poland's fairly extreme stance is holding the whole bloc back. Is there a democratic way to solve this? I'm not aware of one.

A domestic sub is a massive development for a military complex.
[Archive link](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/7Koji) That's certainly one way to run a prison.
[archive.today](https://archive.ph/zLdCw) ___ I'll repeat myself. Winnie-the-pooh meets poo-tin.
[archive.today](https://archive.ph/14d4L) ___ I'm not sure I like the graph (and the whole report). It feels like it prices stopped growing, the representation in the chart *would go down* as it would be compared to a growing base number as time goes on.
[archive.today](https://archive.ph/QvkJO) ___ Shit in rivers - bad.
[archive.today](https://archive.ph/jSGsn)
[ghostarchive.org](https://ghostarchive.org/archive/2l3HJ) ___ Would be lovely if things were actually kicked off. By the time these countries join post-covid economic downturn will be in the past.
