I've only done a few sessions of game setup but I'm already very impressed with the GME. After never having considered the idea of solo roleplaying before I stumbled across Mythic GME and it has become my new hyper fixation. Not only is it a blast to play solo, but I can't wait to use it to help me run my home game. My wife and I also spent several hours the other evening playing a Traveller session using Mythic as our guide. What a blast! :D

I was just working on my current Ironsworn story at work, and I suddenly wondered about whether I considered it to be personal or private, or how I would feel if someone started watching over my shoulder. It made me think if I would roleplay differently if I knew someone else was watching or would read the story later. How do you feel about your solo roleplays? Are they private, deeply personal stories or would you be happy showing them to other people?

A [free extract](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/461938/the-domestic-rivers-of-london-rpg-solo) from the official core book of the RPG: > The Domestic is an introductory scenario designed for one player, based on Ben Aaronovitch’s short story of the same name. Choose to play as a magic-wielding police officer, nurse, or social worker in a game set in the world of Ben Aaronovitch’s hugely successful Rivers of London series. > > Armed with this book, a pencil, and some roleplaying dice, you are ready to take on your first case for the Folly. No GM needed!

I am currently researching some oracles for new game. I know the [Muses & Oracles](https://www.onirarts.com/Muses&Oracles/) but it's a French one. And I can't find the equivalent in English. So on a larger question: Which Oracle would you recommend?

This is a [new add-on](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/450355/vaesen-solo-rules) for [Vaesen](https://preview.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/319119/vaesen-nordic-horror-roleplaying). Did anybody bought it already? I am really curious to know if this is the start of a recognition of a market niche of solo players.

I am an aspiring game creator and love experimenting with graphic design and accessibility, this is my latest project and am thinking of expanding it to a full booklet. Inspired by Dying Earth and others!

Not actually an RPG (a space game actually), but it has lots of RPG elements - equipment, level system, skills, skill trees, quests&quest lines...

cross-posted from: https://ttrpg.network/post/979480 > Lately I've been using solo play tools more and more in my prep. For example instead of just pulling a town out of my imagination or from a bunch of tools. I've (mainly) used Ironsworn to solo play some episodes in that town. Creating details about it as I've gone along. Also used Artefact (more of a journaling game) with good effect to create legendary items. To get into the Glorantha setting, get into the "right" mindset, the solo choose-you-own-adventure I've found great. > > But I'm always looking for new tools to, if nothing else, get new perspectives on things. My default Ironsworn is leaning kinda heavily into more perilous and grim episodes. > > Happy for any and all recommendations!

If you aren’t familiar with Pico 8, the programs code is embedded in the image. Just find a pico8 player and you are good to go! 7/19/2023 CHANGE LOG - Changed it so each tool will retain its values as you scroll through the tools. - Clearly defined text positioning to fix compatibility with pico-8 players. - Made POI’s more prevalent in hex generator - Added some error handling to the dungeon room generator. - Character stats are now only held when you press the button with the generator up. - Added a sound effect for holding the stats. - Added place holder page for NPC generator. - Added the navigation ball to make it less confusing to flip between tools.

Incase there are any pico 8 users, I made a little solo rpg kit. It has a dice roller, a simple oracle, a Norse rune picker, a stat generator and a hex terrain generator. If you arent familiar with Pico 8, The code is embedded into the image. Get a pico 8 player and load this image and your good to go.

What sorts of tools/apps/programs/etc do people use to journal or record their solo adventures? I would love to have a fancy notebook and roll physical dice but being realistic I think something I could run on my Android as either a web or native app and handle both dice rolls and journaling would be ideal. I'm currently considering RoleGate since I use it for some PBP games with moderate success but I'd love to hear what other people use or have considered, either as all-in-one or standalone journals/dice/etc to make a complete system.

Build a rich world, create a character backstory, explore an ongoing adventure, or all three at once - with nothing more than a deck of standard playing cards and a handful of d4s. Meant to be played by a single player at a slow, contemplative pace, Her Odyssey can be completed in a few hours - or it can become a daily ritual, taking you on a metaphorical journey alongside your wanderer for up to two months per playthrough. Dozens of open-ended Hazard prompts provide a starting point for all sorts of adventures and misadventures. Four optional variant rules allow you to customize your game for the perfect genre and level of difficulty.

The system enables you to play these adventures with a single character, as close to the way they are written as possible. The aim is to allow players to enjoy these adventures solo with the minimum of preparation, work or additional rules, and maximum immersion

I also try and give an overview of solo RPGS in general. This is maybe rather obvious to people who would be in this community, but I also recently read The Ink That Bleeds, which is about solo journalling games, which is a very interesting perspective on them - it's cool to see how other people approach solo games, which I think are ultimately a very broad genre

This booklet allows you to play Dungeon World without a gamemaster. These rules use a simplified yes-no mechanic designed to encourage the use of gamemaster moves. Adventure and the Campaign Front is a central element of these rules. As you play the Fronts will be built up based upon the choices you make and how your game unfolds. Although these rules are intentionally simple and easy to use, the booklet is 24 pages, and include plenty of examples and full colour art by Felipe Ganona.
