Easy cop out with "trolls". **We need accountability**. I invited Bardfinn to help us watch for potential bigotry and racism (one admin likes to joke about colonialism) and have a professional Reddit moderator oversee this community. The users in the screenshots were banned for three days, and when the three days ran out it was turned into a permaban without any reasoning. Now I dont like to make comparisons but this IS literally 1984.
Not even reddit went as far as banning r/drama, LW is worse than reddit
Removes them with arbitrary reasons like "spam" or "uncivil" which are both vague reasons for, in my opinion, pretty mild posts and comments. Are we going to allow administrators removing comments and posts simply because they dont like them? Lemmy.world is a great community but it deals with some very powerhungry administrators. We need a way to hold these administrators accountable if we want our communities to thrive.
Admin antik up in their antics. Banning an certain Izzy because he was too lazy to mute them, so he banned them sitewide. Thereby implying that person broke an invisible rule.
