1 cup sugar 1 tbsp corn syrup 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1 egg white 1/8 tsp salt 1/4 tsp vanilla 1/3 cup water Bring sugar, cream of tartar, salt, corn syrup, and water to a boiling point. Cook until sugar dissolves. Add to unbeaten egg white, beaten constantly with electric beater until of spreading consistency. Add vanilla. Mrs. Nancy Green
9 by 13 pan Crust: 1 3/4 cup oatmeal 1 1/2 cup flour 1 cup brown sugar 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup butter, melted 1 tsp baking powder Bake crust 10 minutes at 350 F. Reserve part for top. Filling: 2 1/2 cups crushed pineapple 1 cup sugar 6 tbsp cornstarch Cook until thick and clear. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes.

Hopefully this shows up okay. Local church society cookbook. I can transcribe the photos if there's interest. Favorite recipe for frosting is Nancy's Fluffy White Frosting - great with a simple chocolate cake (our family used it with a Krazy Cake, recipe forthcoming).
They've transcribed thousands of recipes from vintage recipe cards. I'm especially interested in the cheese ball section, they frequently featured in parties I went to with my parents as a kid.
