Apparently KO attacked Cody after the show proving he is the worst friend to have if you are a wrestler.

The Rock is an enigma, spent all day yesterday with Apalachee High and went to the first football game since the shooting, a stand up guy it felt like, then he comes in tv and instantly I hate the man, truly a good actor.

I'm starting to think Triple H doesn't care if there are plot holes in his stories my peeps... Why is Jimmy bothering with any of these bloodline shenanigans?

I'm super not impressed with that new Saudi belt and the tease of a future Goldberg and Gunther match.

Tiffy better watch her back Nia's gonna kill her and surprisingly I want to see it.

Punk and McIntyre was fun. Live and Rhea was meh.

  • Brain Brain Now 100%

It could have been a whole thread, because I'm concerned once the Peacock deal ends, that the network idea is dead, that even more of the history is locked in some server in the WWE warehouse never to see the glow of a screen again.

This is why things like XWT are needed. If I had known one day I'd want those tapes back I'd never have gotten rid of them. We all may have to go back to tape trading, USB trading? some kind of trading if they put it all back in the vault.

  • SRS: Some clarified details from Fightful Select after the WBD-AEW report.
  • Brain Brain Now 100%

The deal is closer to $185M annual average (per @WrestleVotes). Both sides said they didn't provide the $150m number to Variety.

I imagine we might get the actual real amount of money when WBD files their Quarterly at the end of the first quarter in 2025.

No matter what it's certainly better than the estimated 100mm they were making, not quite double but damn close. 150-185... let's call it 168 is a shit ton more than any other company outside of WWE has ever pulled in from media rights.

Dynamite and Collision will air in their normal time slot and days, and also be streamed on Max. This was an important factor for both sides.

I won't lie, I'm not happy with this, I'd really like Collision off that Saturday slot and somewhere I might could enjoy it more. The DVR is fine but I hoped for a more. Of course I miss early Collision when it felt different than being Dynamite, Part II.

PPVs will be added to Max for a discounted price to subscribers in 2025

If I were guessing, I'd bet it's whatever the price people have been paying by using a VPN, get that money domestic and potentially pocket more of it.

ROH and TruTV were not mentioned in the press materials.

Battle of the Belts also not listed, personally I hope it just goes away, nothing ever happens on them.

WBD had exclusivity over AEW broadcast content on TV, but now do not.

I'm glad Tony appears to be over that, I think WWE has proven it doesn't pay as well to put all your eggs in one media basket.

I say this before in 5 years they move everything to Netflix. /s I hope.

  • Brain Brain Now 100%

I had to look it up and yeah, he was very MeToo'd. He told a woman he would help get her on NWA Hollywood, he didn't, and let her live with him, they shared the bed even though they weren't together romantically, one night she woke up with his hand down her pants and him fondling himself, she rolled away and claims it stopped but by the end of the week he kicked her out. Rapist fuck.

But, I don't think it's below NWA to work with him, Tyrus was accused of sexual harassment and because the woman lost her phone with the texts on it she took an out of court settlement. He was then made NWA World Champion.

  • SRS: I’m told Sammy Guevara was stretchered out of the ROH tapings after apparently being knocked out. Hoping all the best for him (Update)
  • Brain Brain Now 100%

All around bad night in ROH, he wasn't the only one to get knocked out apparently.

Independent talent Kelly Madan was knocked out and may have been injured tonight during the filming of a Ring of Honor match In Pittsburgh, PA prior to Dynamite going on the air.

PWInsider.com is told that Madan was wrestling Lady Frost and in the last spot of the bout, was hit with a spinning move off the ropes, but it appeared Frost's legs landed on her head or neck. After the referee made the three count, Madan was described as "obviously being out" and didn't move, at which point AEW's medical team, Frost and the referee all surrounded her.

He took it to rock bottom, who'd have thought the NWA could go any lower when he bought it?

As a company that kept Tyrus on top for a long time, I don't see any reason they can't just bring Dave Lagana back, he was clearly the brains behind early Corgan-NWA. Hell, while they are at it, bring back Corny Jim and Kevin Kelly as his new announce team. That's where they are at, might as well embrace it.

  • AEW to Stream on Max Following New Multi-Year Rights Deal With Warner Bros. Discovery
  • Brain Brain Now 100%

October 2, 2024 – Warner Bros. Discovery and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) today announced a multi-year renewal of their highly successful five-year relationship with an expansive multi-platform media rights agreement that will provide fans with the widest available access ever to AEW’s most popular programming.

WBD’s networks and platforms will remain the exclusive home of AEW Dynamite (Wednesdays on TBS) and AEW Collision (Saturdays on TNT), with enhanced distribution rights across social platforms as well as building opportunities for additional AEW programming for linear and digital platforms in the future.

Additionally, for the first time, all AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision programming starting January 2025 will stream live exclusively on Max (U.S. subscribers only). All AEW programming airing on WBD’s networks will also be available to stream on demand on Max.

AEW and WBD will also collaborate to distribute AEW live pay-per-view events on Max at a discounted price per event, with all marketing and promotions of those PPV events exclusively centered on Max. AEW PPV distribution on Max will begin later in 2025, with additional information and pricing to be shared in the coming months.

“Tony Khan and the entire AEW team have been incredible partners, and we are thrilled to strike this expanded agreement to deliver amazing new AEW content and stories to TNT and TBS, as well as bring the thrilling live action to Max for the first time,” said Kathleen Finch, Chairman and CEO of US Networks, WBD.  “We are focused on creating fresh and authentic experiences for AEW’s passionate and engaged fanbase while also introducing them to our growing lineup of high-action sports and entertainment at TNT and beyond.”

“We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery,” said AEW CEO, GM and Head of Creative Tony Khan. “This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come. We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible.”

Since its inaugural year in 2019, AEW has collaborated with WBD to build a next-generation, pro-wrestling franchise with captivating stories, dynamic and diverse characters, and energetic events all year round. AEW programming has reached more than 33 million fans this year across TBS and TNT, with AEW Dynamite on TBS ranking as Wednesday’s #1 cable entertainment program among P18-49. AEW Collision also ranks among the top 5 programs in its Saturday time slot among P18-49 and M18-49.

The addition of AEW’s popular programming on Max adds to an already robust slate of live programming available to U.S. subscribers, including CNN Max — a 24/7 live news stream featuring live news and programming, and in-depth reporting of all of the biggest news each day and the upcoming U.S. election cycle from CNN’s global news team; and, the B/R Sports Add-on, featuring live coverage of the upcoming MLB postseason, NHL and NBA regular seasons, NCAA Men's March Madness, US Men’s & Women’s National Team soccer matches, Bellator MMA, Mountain West college football, MotoGP, FIA World Endurance Championship, world cycling, and — in 2025 — NASCAR, Roland-Garros tennis, and BIG EAST men’s and women’s college basketball.

[EDIT: Link to Post Wrestling Article](https://www.postwrestling.com/2024/08/21/rich-swann-entering-rehab-after-second-disorderly-intoxication-arrest-since-2022/) PWInsider is quoting PostWrestling.com but it's Mike Johnson so the story is likely vetted. >PostWrestling.com is reporting that TNA has suspended former TNA Champion Rich Swann after they became aware that Swann was arrested this past June and charged with disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance, a misdemeanor offense. TNA stated to PostWrestling.com that they were not aware of Swann's 6/8 arrest until being asked for comment. >Swann was released on a $250 bond on 6/9. He has a case hearing this week in Florida. >It should be noted that on his Facebook page, Swann has posted numerous times in recent months that he has been alcohol free, which would line up with right after the arrest. >“TNA Wrestling takes any and all charges against its performers seriously,” TNA told POST Wrestling in a statement. “Rich Swann is responsible for his own personal actions. He has informed TNA Wrestling that he is voluntarily entering into a substance abuse rehabilitation program. TNA Wrestling has suspended Rich pending the completion of its investigation into the incidents.” >Swann had been paired with AJ Francis as First Class in recent months.

Next week's scheduled trial against AEW's Daniel "Cash" Wheeler will not go forward, PWInsider.com has confirmed. This afternoon, the Prosecutor's office filed "Nolle Prosequi." The Latin phrase is used in court records as a legal notice that the Prosecution in a legal case has opted to drop and abandon the case. There is no word as to why the Prosecutors made that decision or why it took them until the week before the trial to drop prosecution. As of this morning, there was a pre-trial hearing set for tomorrow afternoon at 2 PM and a trial slated for 5/20. All of that has been canceled. Wheeler's bond has been released and the case was officially closed as of 3 PM this afternoon.
