I haven't even cooled down yet, literally just finished it... I don't think I've ever experienced a piece of art so carefully intentional, so cleverly crazy, or so painfully human. I've only done one playthrough, but I could guess the multitude of paths and forks, the complexity of it all, simply staggering. My friend recommended it to me a couple weeks ago, and I went "yeah yeah, sure I'll play it". Oh, boy. I got hooked a few days ago and played through the entire last night -I think I didn't blink once during the last four or five hours. I was nearly brought to tears when I met the phasmid on the island. I was hoping so hard that holding onto that belief would pay off... and it did ! it appeared at the apex of the story, the moment of resolution, and suddenly... nothing else mattered. So much conscientious artistry went into that world, it feels incredibly tangible. That writing was unbelievable. The art style is fantastic too of course. Perfectly wraps the whole package. For the record, I played a mostly communist Harrier, with artsy tendencies and a logician/analytical brain, but also a strangely developed sense of authority. 😂 Gotta admit I was kinda trying to throw off the game, but it... totally rolled with my weird build. So yea I just needed to share. Peace !

I recently started another run and I wanted to try a fascist Harry but I guess I'll never have the heart to delude Kim. On the other hand, I started interiorizing Revacholian Nationhood AND Krasmazovian Economics at the same time. Am I building a Nazbol Harry?

It is sadly without the philosophy references and sci-fi (though perhaps some Australian-isms will make it alien enough for some), but it contains two detectives that approximates the Kim and Harry relationship. One in particular exhibits serious Du Bois energy. I think it is available to many by Amazon prime, but if you struggle to get to it DM me and I'll get you to it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadloch

I finished ATOM RPG not too long ago was looking for a new RPG to play. So far I've read the [Disco Elysium : Beginner's Guide](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3017444198) on Steam but I was wondering if there was anything else I should be aware of. I will be playing on the Steam Deck. I don't think that matters much because according to ProtonDB the game works fine. --- Also I was curious if it has any of the issues like I had playing LA Noire where you are occasionally stuck looking for a needle in a haystack or running into ambiguous dialogue that where you can fail and it prevents you from progressing with a character or situation. I am less worried about the latter because it seems to have a system where you can save anywhere and dialogue options are written out instead of LA Noire's prompt system.
